Great video! It’s pretty cool checking out the various positions around the city including the Warren house! The Masonic lodge downtown is in the pics at the near the end of this video, Jonesboro is a cool little historic place. As native I appreciate this visual representation of the story. Thank you!!! Also it was Jonesborough back in 1864 for all you word police out there.
Times were so different where men worried about what their friends and family would think of them back home so you probably would or got out like a bat out of hell lol
My Great Great grandfather Private William Garner of the 32nd Tennessee Infantry Regiment part of Stewart's division Hardee's Corps fought at Jonesborough
I am quite interested in the US Civil War for a couple of reasons. First my great great grandfather a resident of the British Province of Canada West (Southern Ontario now) fought in the Union Army. Second the American Civil War inspired the various provinces of British North America to join together as The Dominion of Canada to defend against what after the war was the largest standing army in the world. American history is very important to us because of its effect on ours.
Th is is one war that will be fought and refoui8ght as long as there is a USA standing. (To me I think with some common sense this war should have never been fought, but people had their own believes and the was was the end results. Thanks for a good look at history. one question; in one of the videos' I saw someone using lever action rifle, did either side have lever action rifle during this campaign? Thanks for a very good video. (Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA. Member of the 5th Washington Artillery CSA reenactment group)
bedspread -that is how the town name was spelled in 1864 and at the time of the battle. When researching for the video I found that out. The current spelling is s change to what the men who fought there would have known. It would be wrong to use a 20th century spelling for a battle fought over 150 years ago.
This is what the History Channel is meant to be. Thanks for posting this video.
Some mighty well-fed looking Rebs out there.
No one should have to pay any extra for learning and information like this. Thank you Kindly for the Upload!

I love that musket firing sound
Trying listen to it while firing in the ranks among Reenactors, it's loud as hell. You get sort idea what it was like for the soldiers in the 1860's.
Thanks LionHeart for the historical videos!
I wonder how it would have felt, knowing that any moment can be your last on earth. Would I have the courage?

Marquis Monroe True. It ment a lot. And people didn't move like they do in our days. Today you can have a fresh start in another place or town.

My GG Grandfather fought for the Confederacy here. He was wounded in the Battle of Peach Tree Creek and was hit in his left forearm with a mini ball.
He's a coon

Good thing North America was mostly settled by Brits, eh? Imagine if the USA had been settled and founded by a majority of Prussians.

indy_go_blue60 yankees are quite good at killing krauts.
At least, you canadians joined the right side-the USA
No maps? No animation showing troop movements?
Also ultra- realistic battle dioramas. Like mine.

It is currently spelled "Jonesboro" but during the 19th century and at the time of the Civil War it was spelled "Jonesborough".
@@LionHeartFilmWorks thank you for the information , I wasn't aware of that . great film
I gotta say this or else it'll keep bugging me....
Why does that narrator sound so familiar

Dylan Denison it is spelled that way now. In the 19th century, and at the time of the battle, the town was spelled differently.
