Turns out I just witnessed a protective film wearing out overtime (Yes, the keychain itself was still silky smooth after all those years,)

This! I just bought some bookmarks from aliexoress& 1 came with the film slightly wrinkled. I thought it was damaged untill it came up& showed a clearer image 😂
I wish I could go back to the first time I encountered protective film on a keychain, the relief and sheer satisfaction of removing that film was amazing.
You should sell protective films (and like sum to put in on). But you could have an order of 3 or more have 10 protective films and whatever you use to put it on
