  • This is a video I had in an old vhs tape with a bunch of break dancing clips, this is a good video with a good song in the backround, The Guy in the suspenders is the best, I heard this is somewhere in Compton out here in California.

People should know that the west coast is where Popping started. That's different from Breaking or Break dancing that started in NYC(dancing on the ground).

Getting into that zone, just feeling it, letting it flow & running with it. The youth need similar positivity today. Both negativity & positivity are highly contagious. Too much focus on the negatives will stifle the spirit of growth & development. Positivity is like sunlight & fresh water for the soul leading to beautiful things.

Professor Griff and Bobby Hemmitt broke this energy down. They said the records or music back then vibrated on a high frequency unlike todays music. He said that high frequency or high vibration of the music hit the chakras which is energy or vibration that spins and that's where you got the creation of breakdancing. That's some powerful stuff. Bobby Hemmitt even said the records back then healed cancer and other sickness but only if you played the old music on a record player only. He also suggested we only stick to or listen to music from the 70's/80's on back. He said this era of music is bad frequency. He claims that's why the powers that be got rid of soul music.

We took pride in developing our styles, never even thought about copying/biting someone else's style! Back then, you had to travel to different cities to see different styles, when poppin became mainstream is when all the copycats jumped on the bandwagon!
