Rita's Indignation English voice is exactly from the voice files that they didn't use in the old version! There are both Yuri and Estelle second mystic arte English voice files in the old version too, but they didn't use them (they use Rita???), don't know why! Instead that, they use other voices which are very weird!

Troy Baker and Toriumi (JP voice) had different voice lines when initially performing their 2nd MAs, as did Eden Riegel and Nakahara. Even if you don't understand Japanese, you can compare the unused voice from the 360 and the PS3/DE and you'll hear a difference in tones. The 360 arte also says "Ho'ou Kouyokuken" while the PS3/DE one says "Tenshou Kouyokuken." Estelle also doesn't speak during the whole duration of her 2nd MA (unused 360) and instead has the summon spirits talk over most of the MA (PS3/DE). I'm super bummed about it as well since I much prefer the unused incantations, but at least Rita is the same (even if there are some audio cutting issues)!

Savage Wolf Fury for life (and I love the extended version on Duke's second form when you deplete his HP to 0). I like Grant George's work on this game but he made Heavenly Bladewing sound like a basic attack, there was barely any emotion in it. My other favourites: Mega Flashbang Ultra X Bomber (effectively a nuke lol) Dragon's Moon Spear (seems OP and there's cool animation, of course her boobs jiggle at the start haha) Rita's Ancient Catastrophe (love the VA on this one) and Summon Friends (getting Seifer is badass). Flynn's second MA is a bit dull in my opinion. Thanks for including the Japanese voices as well. I doubt I'll ever play the game in Japanese audio but it's interesting to hear their take on it.
I haven't gotten to use any of the 2nd MA's yet, but what seems off is that I can't tell if there's any echo in the 2nd MA voice lines? It doesn't sound like there is and without it all the lines just sound kind of flat and awkward.
No matter how Karol matures as a character, I still can't get over the fact that his japanese VA is Klonoa's. In fact the more Karol becomes courageous, the more his voice sounds like that lop-eared thing! I keep expecting Karol to summon Huepow from outta nowehere like wth xDD

A bit late but still... You need the "special" skill equipped with the character you want to use its MA, being in ovl 3 or 4 and finally activate it while holding the attack button during an arcane, altered or burst arte... n_n That's for the regular ones... For the second one for each character (the ones with the animated cut-in) you have to unlock them first for them to become available! (The requirements vary depending on the character)

So disappointed with the dub and it's a real shame. Just listen to the Flynn and Yuri team Mystic Arte, the dub has no passion and they don't even sync their voices, it switches betweem Flynn and Yuri talking and grunting. Then you hear the Japanese and you can feel them sync together.
You can search "tales of vesperia level 2 mystic artes" on google, and click on the first forum that you see. It explains very well for each character and it's easy to understand
Everyone's first Mystic Artes are unlocked by finding their weapons with the Special Skill. (or just learning it standalone) Yuri and Raven get theirs by story (and Flynn), there are four in Zopheir ,I think; Karol gets the skill by sleeping three times in Dahngrest and Repede gets it by going to Heliord and talking to Pauly. (the little kid in Capua Nor, you should recognize him) The first time you use Repede's Mystic Arte, it will show as "????" and a skit will show up after the battle to name the Mystic Arte. (If you don't activate the skit, it will stay as "????")
After beating the game, hold the attack and arte buttons at tbe same time with vesperia no. 2 equipped whenever you would normally do a mystic arte. Im not sure if OL 4 is required or not. Do keep in mind that this can only be used with vesperia no 2. So it might be beneficial to just stick with savage wolf fury.
What I could never understand is why all people who make such videos (arte exhibitions) have such loud sounds and music, but quiet voices? I came here for voice comparison, but all I hear is music and slashing sounds.

@@lizardjesus There is but the translation is correct for the newer version and the name Troy gives for the MA isn't the actual name of the MA and not in a minor way like when Estelle says elements when the name states Elementia. Troy calls it Brilliant Phoenix when it's called heavenly bladewing. I prefer troys to George's myself but there was no way they could feasibly use it.

Yuri needs to equip Vesperia 2nd after beating the final boss. Estelle needs to use all burst artes 20 times and have aquired the 4 spriits. Rita needs to have used Thunder Blade 200+ times and use it against Dhaos in the 200-man melee when he is below 50% health Judith needs to have used Moon Beam and Moon Glade 100+ times

In 360 version there's actually a Heavenly Bladewing's (there named Brilliant Phoenix) phrase made by the original VA, which is gorgeous
