Blah Blah Blah, It's everyone's favorite mage! A lot of her Artes gain more hits or increase in size the more times they are used, like Fireball and Splash.

Some terms I used:
Air-Use/Ground-Use - Arte can be used in the Air/Ground
*** Extension ( Arte can gain extra hits either by using a specific type of weapon[ ex. Axe Extension], or things like holding a button [Arte Extension] or a certain event [Final Boss Extension].
Mash Combo - Mash Arte button = more hits
Infinite Use - Arte can be used until you want to stop
OVL Spam - I simply show off this move during Overlimit, showing how well it can lockdown targets.

I always loved the detail of how Rita puts up a magic guard just before her mystic arte hits. Like if she doesn't, she'll blow herself up too because it's so powerful.
I love how rita spins when casting advance spells, it just looks so satisfying

@@bloodlust111 not necessarily. It's only blah blah blah when it's quick cast but she has other skills that can let her quick cast. Also flynn has a skill that makes casters cast super fast so she'll quick cast near him as well. Kind of like how Estelle's quick cast "Light!" she can do if she casts right after being knocked down
I think that's because magic in this world is mathematic formulas and incantations are just for fluff
And that's why she's best mage. :3
I also recall that Rita has an accessory she can wear (Shizel's Necklace, if I'm not mistaken) that lets her cast all her spells extremely fast
What can I say. Cocky, Intelligent, Devoted. Rita is the best. The incantations are beautifuly written. Music to my ears. The spells are satisfying to watch unfold. Still my favorite "Tales" character.

I just love the way she casts her spells with all the spinning around & tracing magic circles around herself & all that. Also her incantations are amazing.

I'd never noticed her burst arte's evolved based on over limit level. Neat.
It's not just Rita's. As far as I know, it's everyone's, but I know for sure that Raven's and Yuri's also do.
usually they add more hits and/or bigger range, and in general more power. like estelle's adds more hits and nearby allies gain the stat buffs too

tidal wave is her best move, the best move in the entire game, and breaks the game.
It's the fastest hit that keeps on hitting. Give her minimal damage and the risky ring and overlimit spam.
Indignation is my favorite spell ever

In order to get Demon’s Lance’s incantation, you have to equip heavy casting

Magic casters in the Tales Of series are strong as hell in the mid to late game, that's why I always use the MC in the early till I get the fast casting/no cast skill or item (depending on the game) then I'll switch to the mage unless it's a boss fight where it can charge into the character I am using in a flash.
One way Rita can be surprisingly powerful in the early game if you use the grade shop on a new game+ is to have her grind fireball to 3500+ uses; if you do, it will shoot a stream of 10 fireballs, which is extremely powerful for a cheap novice level spell

@@dariusbowden2871 it's the upgraded spell for tidal wave, it summons a golden Japanese lucky cat statue and does damage based on you have in game money

For me Rita would be excellent to play as. Especially that Rita can use "Tidal Wave" which attacks all enemies.

Lol if you only based that because of "bla bla bla" due to "overlimit spam", then try putting her in a cameo where overlimit doesn't exist like Graces F, Zestiria and Berseria. Without it, she'll just be your ordinary mage with long casting.
Look at the Rays where OVL doesn't exist, she was released as an OP char due to Tidal Wave even if it's long casting. But when 5 star weapons came out, she's already left out as a long casting mage. But her Tidal Wave and Bloody Howling are still useful, but easily overshadowed by fast casting mage with great AoE.
She's only OP in Vesperia, not any Tales game.
Edit: Oh right, put her in Berseria and she'll be a laughing stock against Magilou's Spell Absorber.
@@bloodlust111 Well, if Rita were put in Berseria, her Ovl Spam would probably be replicated by her Break Soul. Magilou would get Spell Absorber off once, then get hit with a constant stream of unstoppable magic.
I don't think so. Break Soul is a skill while Ovl is a feature everyone in that game have access to, it's not just a Rita thing nor she's the only one who can spam spells with it. Rita's Break Soul would be her Burst Artes.
Also look at Tales of the Rays where Ovl doesn't exist. Kongwai already took the title of a God Mage. Rita was pretty much dated though she's still a useful mage.
@@bloodlust111 No it wouldn't, that's not comparable to Berseria's Break Soul power levels. Also, there is no reason why Rita wouldn't have access to Overlimit anyway. I mean, there is no reaeon why she wouldn't have access to the Limit Quartet.

Beating 200 man melee unlocks the stand alone skill for the character that completed it.

2 years later coming from Tales of Arise covered in scars and burns: so this is the origin of Indignation, "thx" Rita. Still "Blahblah" is more powerful!
Actually, the Indignation spell first appears in Tales of Phantasia which was originally released in 1995.
?? Indignation is literally synonymous with Tales Of games since the beginning, maybe Demon Fang comes second as the most used ones
Yeah, indignation showed up in the very first tales game, Tales of Phantasia back in '95. In fact, it has a similar incantation too.
The only English voiced incantation for it is in the GBA version, which goes as such: "I dwell amidst the abounding light of heaven! Thou art at the gates to the underworld. Come forth, thunder of the gods! This ends HEEAUGH! INDIGNATION!"
Also, if you look at the battle indignation is used in here, it's the big tournament for Rita and her final boss is the main antagonist of Tales of Phantasia: Dhaos. She actually has to use her mystic arte on him specifically to learn Indignation.

No, there's a Skill called Minimum Damage that will reduce all damage per hit to 1. It's actually useful for grinding Grade with Rita so you can get more perks in NG+
@@dboyriles Also when you complete 200 man melee on someone you learn the skill 'Stand Alone' and only those with it equipped will fight in battles

It just occurred to me, Rita’s altered spell isn’t Gold Cat, it’s Gold Katz
I knew about Katz AFTER Vesperia, but shouldn’t the localizers have known from previous games? Weird
the statue wasn't a katz so gold cat is accurate

Amazing artes. Such a pity they made her the most annoying character in the Tales series that I decided to not use her. First time I am forced to not use the main Mage of the group on any Tales game. Even when she has the strongest attacks. That annoying 15 years old tsundere attitude that almost ruins the game. Only hard otakus and geeks or 15 year old little boys/girls will disagree with this. Everyone that says that is lovely or that in opposite "she is the best character in Tales of Vesperia" are sick people or weirdos xD everytime she opens her mouth makes me roll my eyes up or want to slap her, and don't make me talk about her "Estellise romance obsession" like if noone noticed, or her blastia obsession like if blastias were living things. "-(yelling)OMG THE BLAS-stfu Rita, we already know. Please stop this."
