Something I notice in this games mystic artes as opposed to other tales games I've played...they all look so vibrant and bright, it really adds to the splendour, makes them feel powerful.

It's my favorite tales of. These are true mystic arts. They are leagues above Graces, Xillia, Zestiria and Berseria. It makes me sad when i see what Namco has done to their franchise.
You could expect a remaster... but expect it to be delayed too xD
Pedro Silva last laugh in berseria was pretty cool same with the rest of the monk class guys ma.

About ready to play this game again. The first time in about a decade!!! This is gonna be good! Switch version for me.
The second Mystic Artes for each of the original characters are awesome. Rita with Indignation, and Raven's second were my favorites.
Patty has, by far, one of the most interesting Mystic Artes, though.

It's just a detail that Namco loves using, because the VERY first thing Tales showed us, ever, was Phantasia starting with him getting raped by that spell. In Eternia you can fuck up Sekundes with it, who looks like Dhaos, and this game well, you saw.

Heck, even Cheria from Graces has Indignation, and yet it is NOT a Mystic Arte for her.
And then there's Genis, who capitalizes on it by combining Indignation, Judgment and Prism Sword into a HELLUVA good looking Mystic Arte.
even Laphicet from Tales of Berseria knows this Mystic Arte.

On another note, you should do an exhibition of all the new costumes, possibly mixed in with an exhibition of the new artes (And I've heard there are a lot of new ones, including Petty's and Flynn's).

Barbatos, Kratos, Dhaos, are all Cameo bosses you can fight in the 200-man-melee in the arena. Barbatos' MA is called "No Items Ever!", which triggers the first time an item is used when he is alive and in the arena. It targets the player who used the item.
Specifically, you only get that damage when using Indignation against Dhaos. It does that every time you use Indignation against him.
@Suzaku000 My mistake, I am not familiar with the workings of the PS3 version of Vesperia, so I wasn't sure exactly.

@majorsx65 Yuri's is Tenshou Kouyokuken, Estelle's is Ultimate Elements, Rita's is Indignation, Repede's is Lightning Moment, Raven's is Crisis Rain, Karol's is Gousenbakusatsu Ultra X Bomber, Judith's is Haou Rougetsusou, and Flynn's is Enha Houyokushou. The name of Patty's is Summon Friends, and the dual hi-ougi with Yuri and Flynn is Bushin Soutenha.
I loved who you used indignation on. Dhaos gets owned a second time.

It's a reference to Tales of Phantasia which is where Dhaos originates from.
Another similar reference was made by Sekundes in Tales of Eternia.
I don't usually like cutesy stuff, but Patty tripping and falling on the roulette wheel is adorable as hell.

I just realized that the fire, wind, and water things in Estelles 2nd mystic art are in Tales of Graces, too. They're part of Pascal's Blast Calibars (although she's not a summoner o.o)
Release date for NA and EU are not announced, although chances are extremely slim for localization.

No, the memory battles were in the original as well. It's a part of the EX dungeon where you fight Kratos at the end.
There was a dungeon added for the ps3 version, but it's not one where you refight old bosses.

@Onlymaybe7 You get that extension when you kill duke's 2nd form with it for the secret mission, it's the same in the 360 version.
say is it really just hold attack and artes, during arcane, alter or burst in ovl4? been trying to use yuri's ps3 one. got 2nd vesperia equiped and special but only doing his normal one. do i hav to finish the game once first?
At the end of Judith's Second Mystic Arte, it almost sounds like she's saying " Howl, Lone Star!"
Only for that particular boss, Dhaos. It's a reference to Tales of Phantasia. If used on any other enemy, it's normal damage (for a mystic arte/hi-oug anywayi)
xillia 2 artes with vesperia remaster graphics.
Dhaos was the final boss of Tales of Phantasia, and Indignation was used on him in the intro of ToP.
@MrToren01 Just hold B after a burst arte. You don't get any of the secondary ones though, and flynn doesn't get any for the short time you get him.

@BionicTDJ I call it legacy damage, myself. Dhaos has a history of being defeated with that very spell. So much so that it's probably the one thing he actually fears.

Ziyi Chaban Yeah, but it only works like that against the enemy you have to fight in order to learn it. Given that it's Dhaos, it's more than a little fitting.
