9:15 - The pink Mk2 Escort was a project car done by Retro Havoc, a car culture organizer from Malaysia. The car was actually shipped to Tokyo for 2023 Tokyo AutoSalon with the invitation from Daijiro Inada and stayed there at Star Road garage until this event. I assumed that now the car is on the way back to Kuala Lumpur.
Another amazing series of cinematography. Brings all the vibes, everytime. Love love love your content, You do it best joe! Keep at it like you've always been
Amazing content love how you document your journey it really gives that down to earth feel and I enjoy the informational segments about the culture and how you are able to blend it all together seamlessly nothing ever feels rushed and you're really great at going over the finer details of the automotive world/ culture of everyday life for the ordinary person.. If I had to compare you to anyone I would say you remind me a lot of the late Anthony Bourdain.
Thank you Joey for showcasing your journey once again! Making me really miss Japan as I actually spent a lot of time in Yokohama after TAS 2019 on the way back to Yokosuka every day during my trip with friends. Couldn't believe I was down the road from Mine's the whole time! Every vlog reminds me of the special "feeling" of Japan and glad I finally caught up!
Duuudde..... Sweeeeet..... not sure if anybody will get that reference. Can confirm, pink car at 9:50 is a Ford (UK) Escort Mk2, mid 70s to early 80s. I had a '79 2 door 1600 Sport (similar styling to the Mexico Spec) as my first car. Rear wheel drive in the wet with an 18 y/o behind the wheel, was a fun combination. Here in ZA, the Toyota 4AGE is a popular engine swap for these. Love all the love you showing to the old school Nissans. In the late 70s to 80s, growing up in my hometown Port Elizabeth, Datsuns/Nissans had a cult-like following. In every street in our community you'd find a Laurel, Stanza, 120Y, 1400 bakkie (1200 sunny pick up), 510 SSS, Skyline, etc, etc. and the holy grail for us was the Skyline 2.8 GTX coupé (R30). I even got excited when I recognised the E20 (thats how they were badged here) minibus in the background at 1:10.
@@THECHRONICLES YESSIR, Thanks for CONTINUING to bring US viewers a glimpse into the Japanese car scene.👍🏻 It’s SO well done that it’s like we take the journey with you guys.
I really enjoyed all the vids from your trip to Japan. Like you said, from your lens it's different from other tuner YT content (even when covering the same thing lol)
Great visit to the mother land. Looks like a standard show with some beauts and some only a mother would claim. Thanks for the work out in my dude, watched this twice, was interrupted by nonsense earlier so wanted to absorb the content not just see it. Those creeps at the truck though, it’s way weirder without a crowd hiding the low camera angles on that innocent chick lol. Damn those dudes are hard up.
I wish there were more channels like yours. Maybe different countries too. Because there is none better. We need more. Been watching since the beginning, even heard the podcasts. May be a bad question but; Where’s Yuta?
The Laurel has an almost Buick design influence from the late 60's timeframe. My dad was a huge Buick fan growing up and owned at least 10 in his life.
You know Joey is a car nerd when there's a super hot woman in tiny clothes standing in the back of a truck and Joey is just like "wow look at that truck"! Haha

I'm going to travel to Osaka from August 21st to 24th, is there a place I can enjoy related to cars? I'd like to see a tuned car. I am a Korean who likes JDM.
@@THECHRONICLES yes i know it was sir but while you was wondering to yourself what it was, i was trying the name, and they come with a similar twin cam turbo engine from cosworth..
Why, especially at a car show, wouldn’t you fit centre caps to your wheels, they kind of, finish the car off in my opinion, great show guys, take care.
Honestly no one does car content like you Joey. Feels like I'm watching a movie.
Ah thanks man

That black Porsche had different colored brakes too on the other side !

He didn’t wanna be on camera anymore and wanted to do his own thing. So we respected his wishes and that’s about it. Nothing bad.
Thanks for the answer man been wondering for awhile now.
Thank you for this!
My pleasure!

they are also nicknamed butaketsu.. pig's butt!
Never heard of the Bridgestone Super R.A.P. before but those are unreal. Would be so cool to use on a sleeper build.
They’re definitely available again but probably not cheap haha

How much money do you need to enjoy 2 weeks in japan or month
That varies depending on what you want to do and how much you want to shop. Too many variables to just throw out a number
1:48 material for later
