@@ocearbhaill3894 there's a difference between being racist and liking something. This took place in a time of segregation where being black was a "bad" trait. While I agree that these kids most likely didn't even understand racism it shows how they pick up on what others is view of the world was at the time.
We actually watched this in class once and everyone was so shocked and disappointed to see that those kids were growing up with such an unfair and wrong perspective of society. @Titan_Killer Whatever skin colour you get your still beatiful in the inside, and btw white skin colour isnt ugly, but mostly one of my favorite color is black, cuz black remind's me of my grandma
This literally broke my heart to see a poor little kid hating on himself. He's supposed to love himself, but bc of society and how they portray us humans in movies they think bad of themselves. 😤 we need to change before the next generation becomes more toxic.
This is so sad, I have a cousin who’s black, and let me say: Everyone is beautiful, we’re all people, and white black, any skin color, is just beautiful. The people doing the Black Baby Test don’t even know how much pain that kid is going through at that very moment. It’s just sad to see young kids thinking their skin color is ugly. I don’t care what you think, but everyone is beautiful. Be yourself. Don’t ever think you’re ugly. Know that you’re beautiful no matter what anybody says to you.
The test was done by black psychologist to help identify the systemic influence of self reflection in black communities. The kids were asked "which is the smart doll" This has been perpetual in America. Images of self matters.
The fun thing about this guy is that he always says “that’s one minute, see you tomorrow” and I always think, yeah sure…. And then somehow he always shows up on my screen the next day
My parents taught me to respect and treat everyone the same no matter what. It’s so sad that kids think this and just makes me ashamed of the society we live in, though after reading the comments I think our world will get better where we all respect eachother
To treat everyone the same is illusionary. You certainly treat your friends differently than the lady behind the counter, or the mayor of the town. Just saying. What you probably mean is to show decency to people.
I agree. It was so sad what the kid said… like no one should be determined “bad” or “good” by their skin color like it’s just wrong. I also believe that there are no “bad people” on this earth. I believe that there are reasons why people say these stuff, do these stuff and all that.
I think the concept of good and bad is chosen by society, but at the same time I think it's ridiculous to believe that there isn't bad people, reason don't always justify actions
I dunno about the “no bad people”. A murderer is a murderer no matter what circumstances they lived through. Even if they grew up in the hardest stuff conditions, it’s sad and they probably need help, but if they turn into a mass murderer, they probably don’t deserve a second chance. Not u til they get some help.
Well, for black people, blame slavery. Colonizers made sure to strip the identity of black people to the point of them believing they didn’t have one. And then feed hate and disdain for themselves. This effects generation to generation. When one generation experiences it and it becomes normal, they teach it to the next that it’s normal, and so on. People think black people should forget about slavery because we aren’t in shackles and in the cotton fields, etc…but everything from slavery has a ripple effect that effects us even till today. Like the whole lightskin and darkskin issue in the black community stems from being a house nword and field nword. House nwords were lighterskinned or mixed, while field nwords were darkskinned. Basically telling us that even our tone in the shade of our brown skin will play a role in who gets more desired and liked by society. I’m telling you, this is way deeper than those who are not black will understand.

I am not black but I’m Hispanic and as a child I was very tan. 80% of the people around me were white and i used to hate my skin color, i thought I should ether be very white or very black. As I grew up I realized I love my skin color. Everyone should not want to change everything about yourselves to look like everyone else, we should celebrate our differences.
@Adam Ryan at first I'm indeed insecured. But actually I do tanning cuz a little bit tanner makes my body looks toned. I do some medium workout and I could brag about my workout results without steroids. Well, yeah every skin color could be a victim of discrimination. Thanks for the feedback ❤️
One of the most heart breaking moments in my life was when my younger sister said growing up she wished she could paint herself white because she wanted to be a Disney princess and every day she would look at her own skin tone and wish she could be white because all the Disney princess were white ( this was back in the days when there were barely any Disney princess that looked like my sister's skin tone, at the time I'm pretty sure there was only princess Jasmine, Pocahontas, and Tiana but me and my sister never watched those moives growing up and all her friends were white and all liked Disney princess that looked the most like them and none of them really liked the Disney princesses of color). Edit: Thank you for all the love and support! I genuinely appreciate it and it warms my heart to see other people saying so many kind things!
Your sister doesn't have to be one one the princesses in the films, she already is one! Bless both you and your sister, and thank you for caring for her!

This is absolutely devastating, these kids didn’t know any better an d what many adults put them through is very sad 😔 .
Is Hollywood
Don’t let this poison your mind, it is utter Marxism rubbish. Most “black” kids or any kids at this age don’t even have the thought capacity to think of racist ideologies or take them on board & also these 2 clips give evidence for the entire population of “black” kids in the west... rubbish
It's definitely not Hollywood. It's actually shitty parenting, their parents need to step up and do their jobs. Kids are being raised by their phones rather than their parents, especially in urban setting. Their parents really need to step up to the plate!
@@lukejposadas the black baby test was done in the 1940s about 67 years before cell phones. How did cell phones affect those children?

This is so sad, I have a cousin who’s black, and let me say: Everyone is beautiful, we’re all people, and white black, any skin color, is just beautiful. My parents taught me to respect and treat everyone the same no matter what. It’s so sad that kids think this and just makes me ashamed of the society we live in, though after reading the comments I think our world will get better where we all respect eachother
It was in the 1960s. Today it's the total opposite they try to push women and other races way to much and it ends up ruining the show or movie a lot.
Yep
Armyyyy💜
I think the concept of good and bad is chosen by society, but at the same time I think it's ridiculous to believe that there isn't bad people, reason don't always justify actions
There definitely are bad people and there’s no way to deny it. Some people are just (even if you can say it’s a society thing) evil.
I dunno about the “no bad people”. A murderer is a murderer no matter what circumstances they lived through. Even if they grew up in the hardest stuff conditions, it’s sad and they probably need help, but if they turn into a mass murderer, they probably don’t deserve a second chance. This broke my heart. All children are beautiful and precious
Yes man🥺💔
Don’t worry, those are old tests. Today’s tests show black children now prefer black dolls. But yes, it was sad back then.

As I grew up I realized I love my skin color. Everyone should not want to change everything about yourselves to look like everyone else, we should celebrate our differences.
Yeah, although in Asian if your skin colour is bright, you are considered pretty
