An Aunt of mine, Sheila Watson, came from Burry Port near Llanelli in south Wales of course. She came with her parents Mr and Mrs Byers, and her daughter Karina. She later married Peter Watson, my Uncle, and they then moved to Dormansland/Dormans Park in Surrey. They later moved to the sea at Eastbourne in East Sussex. Sadly Peter later developed Parkinson's Disease and had a stroke and died with it in 2021. I have not been to the area as I live in Kent but I do remember when younger we went to Swansea and the Gower which was very nice too. Another later time we went to Tenby which I know is further on from there then too. Thank you though of course!
When I had a caravan on the Shoreline in the late 70's and early 80's we used to call the pickle factory "Nelly Pledges" although I don't know why! :-) Fabulous memories of Burry Port when I was in my early teens. A lot different then though. Carmarthen Bay power station dominated what is the coastal path today and the fields behind the clubhouse (which used to be the building to the left of what is the clubhouse today) used to be kept for touring caravans throughout the Summer, never used to be statics in them. Nice video, thank you.
Webby where is the best holiday caravan park in wales to stay at in 2022 me and a few friends want to go away and stay we are from Milton Keynes in England and also what is the best travel options as we don’t drive
If you dont drive then I would say kliln park tenby have a look at my tenby video it's in that town. I honestly think that is your best option as trecco bay is a lot bigger park but not easy to get to without transport hope this helps
