I made Aliyah. There is no purpose for any Jews to remain in chutz laaretz. HaShem opened up the gates in 1948. Maybe before 1948 we can say we were into forced exile , but no longer . If the Jews would return instead of investing in the infrastructure of chutz laaretz , the country , our country will become like no other. Just learning about the fact that my family is Jewish and what the process of Aliyah is. Thank you for this, Rabbi... as a gentile I struggle with my spiritual need to find a way to be called to Israel. I don't know why I have drawn strength from the Jewish model of never forgetting and also moving forward more strong and capable than I started, and I have. Always. And so for no real reason at all I wish I were younger, stronger, more capable in the ways that Israel has clear need of now... and I am not and do not and have not got the things needed today and so I just have this unfulfilled need to help and no clear idea how, yet. The 10/7 attacks catalyzed something in me and the marches and horror of the days following have been a darkness that perhaps I struggle within becuase I'm an atheist and do not have a clear strength from faith, or perhaps just because so many of the truths I held as undeniable in ANY light have been broken and denied in the broad daylight by so many people that the "faith" I did hold has been shaken and I need to learn to hold it even in the darkness as my own light. Whatever is my own truth and path... I have fear for us all. I started my post with NO... DO NOT GO HOME YET... don't make it easier for our enemies to single you out and destroy you in one blow! And then I deleted it. I'm an optimist by nature and cannot begin from a place of abject pessimism and fear. And now I am torn, because Rabbi Jacobson is right... if your calling is to strengthen from within, then you must go home... and if your calling is to strengthen from without then that is where you should remain even though that place is as dangerous to you as Joseph's place in Egypt was. And that hurts me inside because right now I don't want anything that risks any more harm to Jews anywhere in the face of so much evil and hatred. Am Yisrael Chai. Be strong. Bring the light and strength and dignity of thousands of years to your people because they are fighting for us all.

I Believe according to biblical prophecy the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob is drawing His chosen people, the Jewish people back to their homeland. I personally believe Israel is the safest place for the Jewish people 🇮🇱❤️. In Israel the Iron Dome is for protection and the IDF is active. I’m a Gentile Christian and I help fight antisemitism. My husband was just in Israel and it was very peaceful. We are doing everything we can by fighting back and trying to help the Jewish people. Please, if you are a Jew in the diaspora, unless you work in outreach, your place is in Israel. Please do not listen to rabbis who tell you to stay put, however great their stature. The spies too were leaders of the nation. If you have challenges, whatever they are, ask Hashem to help you and make miracles for you. The exile is over. It is NOT your job to fight the global madness.
Of course, if not now, when would be the right time, I seek no better course of action in faith and covenant in Hashem ... for me, that is, anothes then that may very well be another better time, which is understandable and sound enough reasoning for now ...

It's about parnassa, if you have a way to make a living in Eretz Israel and have a plan you can do it. Go and contact the Jewish Agency and your local Israeli consulate.
Especially for native English speakers, there are global parnassa opportunties from your screen. Also, there are many employment opportunities given all the men in the reserves.
I finished university in 1978, and took the first plane out of the US to Israel. I've never looked back. At that time yeridah from Israel was higher than aliyah. The popular joke of the day was "tell the last one out (from the Ben Gurion Airport) to turn-off the lights." I fought my parents in order to leave the US, and Israeli society in order to enter. I had to kick in the door to be acepted into an Israel that thought I was crazy for coming and therefore a lot less hospitable in those days. When you decide that being a Jew in exile is shameful and you cannot live with that shame, you make your aliyah a do or die quest. I did. I am living the life G-d intended for a Jew, and a raised a family of which I'm proud.
@@57andstillkicking First, I met Zionism, this led to God. When I decided I would only live in Israel, I also decided not to continue living as if I was a gentile. Without God, life is meaningless. I have a son who completed Diyan (judgeship) studies and teaches in a high yeshiva.
Very disappointing. It would be better to say nothing than to lead Jews into a false sense of security and complacency. When the opposite message is desperately needed. Absolutely, the captain should be the last person on the sinking ship, as he organises the mass emergency aliya of all Jews. Some will do it by themselves, but many need spiritual and practical leadership and assistance. Every day there is a voice from heaven that calls out, lech lecha me'artzcha .... the same call to Avraham Avinu, go to yourself from your country. Jews have to listen and act. The exile is a curse that is over now. Jews are not required to remain dispersed globally in order to fight the global situation. The most important thing a Jew can do for Israel is to come and live here and inhabit the land. We don't need your presents. We need your presence. Over the last thirty years Israel has filled up with non-Jews because Jews wouldn't make aliya.
yesssssss finally a voice of truth - " better to say nothing than to lead Jews into a false sense of security and complacency. When the opposite message is desperately needed" i feel like im in the twilight zone!!!

I live in New York and always loved this place however since october 7 there has been rampent antisemtisim. I want to he surounded by people who I can be assured will not treat me that way. I have never thought of moving to Israel until recently but now im seriously considering it
You can't understand the meaning of home until you do Alyiah, my family and I did Alyiah 3 years ago and there are no words to describe this feeling. Everyone can have an emotional connection with the Holy Land, even Christians and Arabs, but if you want to fulfill Hashem's words, accept the gift he gave us, the physical land, get out of your comfort zone and be part of the Jewish Nation. And if you are a spiritual leader, with all due respect, the sheep need to follow the shepherd, not the shepherd the sheep.
Yes all Jews should make Alliyah. Israel is the only place you are safe . You have strong Arm Forces that can protect you, unlike with other country. They may have mix loyalty. Some will hate you and some will love.
The prophesy of Jeremiah is coming to reality. Nothing going to STOP that. 14 I will let you find me, says the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
I come from jewish families but we stop being jewish and my great great mother converted my grandmother to catholicisme. But my jewish genes are there still and I don’t see myself at all in the catholicisme any more, since a year already that I feel that I should re-convert to Judaism and do my Aliyah. I never really felt home in my country of Portugal.
I head a lot of Jewish people from Portugal and many countries were converted out of fear, or just assimilated to the country. I hope more of these jews will come home. Sending love ❤
Thanks, Izzy for this great episode. Rabbi Jacobson is so inspiring. If I may be critical for a moment, you didn't get an answer the main question of the episode title: Should All Jews Make Aliyah to Israel Now? It wasn't even directly asked. He just talked about "Home is where they have to take you." A shopworn bromide that I personally find a bit negative. Personally, Aliyah is on my mind like never before. But one thing I've never been able to figure out is...why are most of the the most religious Jews in the diaspora not already gone home? They know it's a mitzvah. They know the need to bolster the country. They know things are getting worse here (especially in NYC). They're not like some assimilated, intermarried Jew who tries to downplay their identity at every turn, doesn't want to give up his McMansion and thriving business, and may be very lukewarm on Zionism itself. These are Torah Jews. So, what gives? Is Monsey so great? Teaneck? Are they just staying back here to steer the rest of us onto the El Al jets? Can't be that, many hasidim don't have any contact with the non-heredi Jewish world. I'd love a guide for the perplexed on this seeming contradiction. Again, great episode. Thanks for doing this serious and for wrestling!
Unfortunately, he didn't answer the question at all. ALL Jews should make aliya. I'm not going to pretend, it's not always easy, there may be challenges, but if you make aliya now, you will be embraced by Israelis like never before. The key to a successful aliya, is emuna, belief in Hashem, talk to Hashem constantly and ask for HIs help. Hashem can help you overcome any obstacle.
1- erev rav, and 2- the klippot in chutz laaretz are very very strong i didnt listen to this video but if he is not telling EVERY SINLGE JEW TO PACK THEIR BAGS AND LEAVE RIGHT NOW he is doing them a great disservice, at best!!!!! the geula is happening right now, rabbanim in israel are screaming from the rooftops to leave chutz laaretz, have been for years. 2/3 of the world is about to be destroyed, israel is and will be the safest place. tick tock
i hear where you are coming from. on the one hand, it seems glaringly clear. but when you peel back the layers and speak with people, you see that this question is much more complex. Many unfortunately have tried to go to Israel and don't make it. Others want to so badly but simply don't have the means or would cause great harm to their children if they were to make the move. It is still something I am toiling with, but I think it's safe to say that we should be working on building an understanding that Israel is our one true home and aspire to be there, but understand that not everyone may be able to at this point in time.

From MbD to RmBm; It's interesting how in an effort to make things sound rational (like putting up the "Moshiach to do list") you can turn them in completely irrational propositions so that in the end you have to put a disclaimer on all of it. In reality, only the monarch can do any of things on the list. So if you don't have a king from the start, you don't have anything.

Not yet for you? So you have a big mistva, the fact you are breathing any seconds outside Israel is a shame for G.od, and you are telling this is not for you...really?
I have appreciated the teachings of this rabbi over the years. However, I don't agree with promoting the idea that it's ok for Jews to stay living in the diaspora. The rabbi does mention that everyone will come home "some day". That time is so obviously NOW. Look at all of the signs! To those of us living in Israel, it's very clear that the anti-semitism in the diaspora is Hashem's way of pressuring the rest of the Jews to come home to Israel. It is very surprising to us that diaspora Jews don't see this clearly... When trying to decide about whether to make aliyah, we don't tell ourselves that "it's not practical for me to make aliyah". That's not the question. We ask Hashem to show me how I CAN make aliyah. Of course there is a divine plan! I made aliyah 12 years ago as a divorced middle-aged woman with 2 daughters, no other family here, no Hebrew yet, and not much money. Hashem has taken good care of us. Jewish life is so absolutely rich and meaningful here that it's hard to even travel back to the "old country" (USA) for a visit. More importantly, HASHEM WANTS US HERE. To the interviewer, you would have to ask the question about whether to make aliyah now to a rabbi already in Israel. Someone who has not made aliyah will not advise YOU to make aliyah. My rabbis in America had told me that I would "never make it here". They were wrong.
@@goldengun9970 Christians and Jews lived with Muslims in Palestine... Overtime many Jews and Christians became Muslims. Now you are pulverizing those people... Check their DNA.... It will confirm it. 💯☑️☑️☑️
It doesn't matter whether they should, unless and until it will happen. The Bible and the Tanakh say it will happen. But it isn't going to happen because of anything Netanyahu or any other world leader says. It will only happen when every Jewish heart worldwide is filled with an absolutely overriding desire to return, and this is not a change that humans can accomplish.
? Of course it is a change that a person can make. Each individual nurtures the desire to make aliya, and encourages their family and friends, and they translate it into action.
Several confirmations of it are already in the annual Torah reading. How can any rabbi accomplish avoiding the subject being stated clearly to everyone in his shul at least that many times every year? Maybe they aren't talking about ENOUGH, I wouldn't know without being there, but how can they even accomplish not talking about it at all? And I think that God will surely start pressing their hearts to talk about it when the time comes for the ingathering to be completed. And the great ingathering is unlikely to happen all at once. Consider the return from Persia. How many years elapsed from the declaration of the return, until Queen Esther's time, when it had still barely started happening at all? Compare that to now, when it's only been, (what? 101 years?) since the Palestine Mandate, and already we are within sight of Israel holding half of the world's Jewish population. @@GillesMeunier-co8gl

Just learning about the fact that my family is Jewish and what the process of Aliyah is. Have some huge obstacles to overcome including sealed family records at the government level by my great grandfather when he was in office in Canada. I only have 9 years to get this process complete. Lots of people trying to discourage me, down to people deying my families Jewishness. I hate to leave Jerusalem during this time. I pray for our nation, Israel.
Welcome back home.
Please do not be discouraged. I am so sorry things are the way they are. Our government is not Zionist! It hasn't been in many many years! But people are waking up to who's lying. Time will pass, use it. We cant wait to welcome you here! Sending love! ❤

Rabbi, there is also another army that was mobilized on October 7…..there is a great army of Christians who also were mobilized on October 7, who are praying earnestly day and night for Israel, crying out for those soldiers on the front lines, for wisdom and guidance for the leaders, for the hostages in the tunnels and elsewhere. You are not alone. We are with you in fasting and crying out and in earnest prayer. God Bless You all and preserve and deliver you, set His Angels round about you. Psalm 91. Amen🙏

Many stand with you though it’s just many times we are silenced on social media or our comments are deleted by RUclips etc.
I am a Canadian of Jewish descent and even I feel the tug of home... Especially in this time of the world, where hatred of Jews is spreading due to countries immigration policies.

Of course, if not now, when would be the right time, I seek no better course of action in faith and covenant in Hashem ... for me, that is, anothes then that may very well be another better time, which is understandable and sound enough reasoning for now ...

If you come here, you'll change the sad situation, make a normal governmental decision.
All Jews should live in Israel, just not all at the same time. I made my shift there
Israel is home! G'd bless and protect Israel and IDF!
I’ve tried to find home here, moved around more times than I am old, and I’m 49, this simply is not home, I’ve searched it out…. But I have always known I wouldn’t find home here in US….. because it’s not my home… I can’t wait to go home, to Israel.
You should deeply consider it now. The counter-intuitive choice in the middle of this "existential" war is the correct choice.
Yes. Shalom 🙏
That’s wonderful! How important is God on your life?
@@57andstillkicking First, I met Zionism, this led to God. When I decided I would only live in Israel, I also decided not to continue living as if I was a gentile. Without God, life is meaningless. I have a son who completed Diyan (judgeship) studies and teaches in a high yeshiva.

Beautiful.
When the opposite message is desperately needed"

My the world be cleansed. And may the Noahide rise above all of this mess.
Cling to the Jewish nation and they will teach us the truth.
Yes all Jews should make Alliyah. Israel is the only place you are safe . You have strong Arm Forces that can protect you, unlike with other country. They may have mix loyalty. Some will hate you and some will love.

He did answer. He said - there are people who's mission is in the diaspora
1- erev rav, and 2- the klippot in chutz laaretz are very very strong
i didnt listen to this video but if he is not telling EVERY SINLGE JEW TO PACK THEIR BAGS AND LEAVE RIGHT NOW he is doing them a great disservice, at best!!!!!
the geula is happening right now, rabbanim in israel are screaming from the rooftops to leave chutz laaretz, have been for years.

To the rabbi's point about Jews demonstrating morality, I think that's exactly what were doing now... Were demonstrating morality in war
You're so brave! I'm so glad you're here and I hope more will come, I cannot stand the antisemitism they are tolerating.
I appreciate you sharing this perspective and do plan to interview more Israelis to hear that perspective as well. Stay tuned!

@@goldengun9970 Christians and Jews lived with Muslims in Palestine... Overtime many Jews and Christians became Muslims.

True. But there's only One who can nurture that desire in EVERY Jew. @@elishevabarenbaum5319
Wrong.
Every rabbi should speak about it.
They are responsible, but they are failing...and really a big failure...
