We watched the same game? That game shoulda been a 20 minute stomp after that level 1 invade, FNC literally clawed themselves into a position where they could win despite that. If the gamestate was even slightly more balanced earlier on, EDG would've lost that game. They were handed a free win and still didn't close out convincingly.

Even put in this disadvantage on this early stage of the game you just dont stomp over them in 20 min. They play defensively and tried to take their chances as much as possible that was it. If this would be any other team fnatic might have turn this around easily. They were never on a brink on winning this game... EDG's Jungler,Top and ADC were way better than fnatics. Only Upset might have the excuse that he was put in a very dire situation at the beginning.

Fanatic taking a tank top lane instead of a bruiser/ADC made all the difference. When they have 3 or 4 offense they win, when they only have 2 they get one picked off and then lose. I don't understand that defensive mindset; if you want to win you need to eliminate your opponents. Either you have a ton of hard CC so the tanks can last the whole fight and zone, or you need to have multiple threats, not less than 1/2 of your team doing damage. Ofc, the level 1 fight just sealed the deal.
I feel like Soraka would have been much better, can silence lee sin and engages while Renata R is useless against such high mobility, they can easily dodge it making a 4 vs 5 fight every time

Damn EDG is so bad. This was ridiculous. They tried to throw the game so hard, they had super fed Sivir that can take whatever she wants, bs Yuumi that is just broken no matter her numbers BUT Viktor and Lee Sin played so bad they almost managed to lose. FNC support also was an EDG infiltrator that didnt do anything. This game was literally decided by 1 dumb decision - FOCUS YUUMI -> you do not do that because its just way too risky when you are on a back foot and the Humanoid decision to go over the wall when he was the only person holding the game sealed the deal. Also, the game should have been far shorter if EDG knew what they were doing. Top, jungle and mid diff held FNC so hard that even though EDG had everything to win this in 15-20 minutes. They just couldnt do it.
Fnc is scary to be honest they have higher ceiling the longer they play in the tournament they grow and keep improving fnc is the only hope for the west
