    I have just managed to get a copy from Second Chance Games in Britain, but thanks anyway. It arrived today, but I am working away from home and won’t be able to ‘dive’ into the box till late on Saturday night! 😢

    Tx for the feedback and analyze I just got mine yesterday and before reading the rules in English I appreciate the overview you gave. Cheers

    Great, cannot wait to get this game in my grubby little beaters.

    Auerstaedt next. I'd like to see how this system fairs against an extraordinary battle like this.

      Auerstaedt is on the top of my list. Very nice challenge to design that game where a formidable French force stays victorious outnumbered 1:2.5.

    The Best wargame on this scale and topic at this time I guess, thanks for the reviews.
    I'm excited to test it quickly 😁

      Thank you Eric, that is very kind of you to say. We have living rules 1.4 ready. We added some nice details like offensive use of French Horse Artillery.

    Matt, looking through your videos, I don't see that you've played a game from the La Bataille series by ME/CoA. If you have played it, how does this system compare to La Bataille?

    How does the initiation/frequency of combat work? Isn’t there something that initiates fire combat for all units. Does that piece work well? Any awkwardness in either randomness or mitigating factors for control with respect to combat generally?

    • @MattWhiteWargames

      Given musket fire mostly occurs when taking one of the red cubes from the bag - and the combat mechanics, I found very streamlined

    Any chance, Matt, that you might have gotten a copy of NES' Winter's Victory, and might want to do a similar vid on that... AND a comparative piece contrasting and comparing the two? (I know, big ask, but, well ... I'm askin')

      I would love a copy of that game - it is quite pricey (about double the cost of this game) here in the UK

    What are your thoughts on how it would play solo? Sorry if you mentioned it. I've only listened to the first half of your video so far.

    • @MattWhiteWargames
      @MattWhiteWargames  8 месяцев назад +1

      I think it solo's incredibly well (due to the cube activation system and the orders) for two-handed solo play.

      @@MattWhiteWargames Thanks. That was my impression. I was weighing it against Winter's Victory, but I doubt that one has the same playability factor. Now I just have to figure out how to get it in the States without paying 47 Euros shipping. Youch!

      @@ericneff9908 Hi Eric, the other element that makes the game very solo friendly, is the order system. Once issued you need to stick to them for a turn. In the US there are several retailers that carry the game. And shipping from our warehouse in the US is 16 USD to you.

    I have begun to read through the rules to this amazing-looking game but come up against something a ‘brick wall’, which I really hope you can help with. I have been playing wargames for about fifty years now, so maybe I am missing something obvious because I’m knocking on a bit, but I cannot find in any of the scenario information how many ‘Army Fatigue Points’ you start with. The reduction of them is clear, but as I say from what number? It seems that the shorter scenarios don’t use them, as it says to ignore rules regarding Army Fatigue, but what about the main battle? I apologise if I am being dim, but if you can help, I shall be in your debt!

    • @MattWhiteWargames

      yes - I can help with that. Version 1.2, page 9 - 220 AFP to the Russian and 210 AFP to the French as part of the setup

    • @richardwimpenny4342
      @richardwimpenny4342 Месяц назад

      Thanks for that. My page 9 has none of that at all! How do you get the updated rules? I have tried but can’t seem to access them.

    • @MattWhiteWargames

      @@richardwimpenny4342 yes - there is a 1.2 for the scenario book and a 1.4 for the rulebook. I do have a video that details all the changes and I would highly recommend you get them (I think directly from the publisher). If you get stuck message me or via BGG and I can help you. Best, Matt

      That’s brilliant, Matt, many thanks. Is the game playable with what I’ve got do you think? I’m working away from home and no printer, etc, but able to set a small game up.

    Really enjoyed your talk through of what looks a fantastic game system. I first heard of this game last spring, but I still can’t find out how to buy one. Where did you get yours? I also love the fact that the first game in the series is from 1807 and not the usual 1813 or the Peninsula!

      Hi Richard, where are you based? I can put you in touch with a retailer of have the game shipped to you from one of our warehouses.
