Ironically enough I came across your videos when I was working on a beater white 96 1500 rclb 318/nv3500 truck with the bright plan of turboing it and it ended up with just a rebuild and a few NA upgrades. Then I recently bought a 96 12v/nv4500 and turns out you post a video with a 12v. I definitely need a tappet cover mine is all bent up!
Awesome! And ya the gstp ones awesome just make sure to run a thin bead of silicon around the seal when you install it just for reassurance

Sweeet, need a trans asap! The stock 47re can barely handle stock torque lol, throw some delivery valves and a rack plug in that baby. What's done to the afc and fuel plate?
100 fuel plate and stock afc atm. Bought a long travel kit, bigger injectors and 191 delivery valves
@@RacingRamFam Gotta slap some full cuts in there and delete the afc, black out the town. I had my 12 valve setup like that with a big single turbo, an airdog and some 5x0.018 injectors, I think I had an issue with my pump. It never smoked like it should have, wish I kept it.

Long story short rebuilt it, raced it, broke forward piston, now have billet piston and trying to figure out what I want the ending to be
Never heard of gator studs before. Im running xotic solid studs
Ya I’ve heard lots of horror stories from xotic. I’ve watched a lot of testing on Chinese studs and there pretty trash. Better clamp load from factory bolts
I have busted several Xotic studs. They are good to about 600hp tops. The lift after that. They warrantee the studs, but it still dont cover the cost of the result of said failure. I made a short on it a while ago.
@@BentonL ya can’t warranty junk lol
@@RacingRamFam They can, but you will be doing a head gasket again and potentially having to replace bearings. I am now on the 625 alloy studs. I learned my lesson a while ago. But I had put these studs in a lot of trucks. All the trucks with 500 or more HP have broken studs. They dont stretch they just snap when they lift. Usually in the middle.
@@BentonL you can’t fix broken is what I’m trying to say. If somethings junk doesn’t matter how many times your get it warrantied out it’s still junk
Where are Gator fasteners made? It is not on their website. I assume they are yellow instead of red, white and blue.

I see you did governor springs did you upgrade your valve springs too? Also didn’t see anything with your delivery valves and wondering if you have afc live?
@@nathankohl8440 no I just tuned my afc properly with pdd long travel kit, and yes 191 delivery valves and 160lb valve springs

Absolutely not! I just needed a new daily driver and I don’t want to buy a new truck so I built this beast!

I want to try this with a 5.9 Cummins D110. Can anyone advise on the mileage for the stock engine vs the same engine upgraded to like 500-600 horsepower?
I’m seeing 23 mpg now versus 16 when it was stock. I think it’s due to making more power I don’t have to floor it to merge anymore

do you adjust preboost screw all the way out, all the way in, did you tune it? did you adjust afc housing back or forward?
@@tunedupoutdoors yes I tuned it. It has a pdd long travel kit, number 10plate. Everything was adjusted in the middle then moved from there depending on smoke output
