Vlad is proof that the right drummer can transform a great band into an amazing band. I love him.
"Who Is Gonna Be The One" should definitely be your next Jinjer video. There's a killer live version that really showcases Tatiana's growls and what a showwoman she is.
Yes!!
Yeah😁
Try “Pit of Consciousness” and/or “On The Top” live in Kiev. Both excellent songs off their last record.
Was about to suggest the same.
i second pit of consciousness for sure
Most definitely!
YES PIT NEXT! It's one of my FAV you tube vids period! You can see in their eyes it's 100% effort to be perfect for their homefans!
Agree with these suggestions. Amazing live performances
And... really enjoyed watching you wondering what to say :) ... I’ve liked these guys since their first album came out - it’s great to watch them getting bigger and bigger...
im seeing them for my first time live nov 1 I CANNOT WAIT!
its amazing how outta breath she is talking at the end of the song... but youd never guess when shes screaming and singing! such control!
This song introduced me to Jinjer and they haven't disappointed me yet
Can't figure out if for once you're being serious :')
@@Marieketoetsenist haha same
This band has no business being this good! Check out The Agonist and their song The Gift of Silence. They toured Europe with Jinjer and are a amazing band that is very underrated.
This is the song that got them their deal with Napalm Records.
Apropos drummer, a short story why one of them could not play any longer for the band. In 2014, drummer Jewhen Mantulin fell out of a window (third floor) while smoking and injured himself so badly that he could no longer play for Jinjer. Their album, released on October 25, 2019, brought Jinjer to 33rd place, the first chart position in Germany. Not bad for a band who´s on stage since only for a decade. Great future they have!
i can see the emotion in you that was brought on by jinjer. i know the feeling man. no other band has ever hit me right in my soul. i get choked up sometimes when listen to them. everything they do hits you in a very special way. absolutely love this band. i feel like there is no other band and never will be another band like jinjer.
jinjer doing jinjer things - I love it
Little late but, I'm thinking you watch chase?
@@dapersan9728 you mean ginger doing ginger things? sure do
Jinjer is probably the most under-appreciated band in metal today. I've been a huge fan for several years now and they were the last band i got to see live before covid hit.
In that live video she sounded absolutely insane beginning to end of it. Yet between every song sounded exhausted.
It's like what are you using to continue to give this to us.
I saw Jinjer live in Hamburg (I guess it was 2019). Man, they were so good. Underated band, Tatiana is for me the best female vocalist
right now!
Dude you are a true headbanger of the old school variety I've watched 3 of your Jinjer reactions now and enjoy the enthusiasm and knowledge you giving as well
I know something else what has been awhile: Epica! :D
I'm glad my bands normally have everything with them, with an exception of the 'standard' backline. Craziest thing I came across is that I had to arrange a violin on the day of the festival itself, because the violin player forgot to put it on the rider....pffff
If you're looking for more Jinjer songs I would highly recommend the live version of 'Who Is Gonna Be the One', it's amazing.
I really enjoy watching your videos, I particularly like how informative they are.
Keep up the good work and stay safe.
This song is such a banger! Excellent reaction. Next live performance I recommend is Who Is Gonna Be The One(Live) Napalm Records, this performance includes the same band members using different gear before they were sponsored to their current gear. Who Is Gonna Be The One will not disappoint.
Oh man PLEAAAAASE do "Pit of Conciousness" from Kiev. Her growls here are INSANE
Insane for sure, but, we prefer to call it Kyiv)
Her ability to modulate her growls and screams is astounding. Not many extreme vocalists can growl and scream with such range and dynamics. To borrow a joke from Spinal Tap - but in all earnestness - she can easily take it further up to 11.
Still to this day I get the goosebumps on that breakdown even though I’ve heard this song over and over! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Outlander, Retrospection, Just Another...to name a few good songs! 😉
Edit: new video by Jinjer this thursday. October 15th 🥳🤘🏻
I didnt realize they had a live album out. Was about the size of the place I saw them in Iowa City. Thank you RUclips algorithm.
Stupid me, assuming bands always travel with their own gear. I could've realized that it is way more efficient (especially for smaller bands) to rent the bulkier gear from a local company. Thanks for enlightening me Tank! Man I loved this song. I gotta listen to more Jinjer. Keep it up dude. [Edit] Leave it to the Italians to design a fucking awesome looking bass!
Haha. It’s not stupid to assume that. But a lot of times, it’s cheaper to rent gear when you’re overseas than to cargo your own over.
@Boerke my friend, you are not alone with that. 😂
Oh and that bass is sick! Thanks Tank for the facts yet again.
More Jinjer? Who's Gonna Be The One (Live)
Also, to scratch that Marco itch, check out some of his work with Delain (Nothing Left, Control The Storm, The Gathering). Or his own band, Tarot (Pyre of Gods or Wings of Darkness)
That woman is giving us everything to where she can barely breathe after.
Absolutely one of my top go-to Jinjer songs. I saw recently that one of the members said it was one of their most technical/difficult songs to play live. I say Pit of Consciousness is a good way to go from this point.
Funny. This is the first song I ever heard by Jinjer, and all I could think of was "Man, this is like Lamb of God with some clean vocals thrown in." Glad I'm not the only one that thought .
By the way, LOVE all the Violent Gentlemen gear. Actually got me to go get a shirt myself to support them (Parros is supposed to be an awesome guy).
You still should do "Who's Gonna Be The One" live next.
Great Jinjer song, live! You were speachless there for a while! Wow! 😀
Thank you so much for having the drop date on the live album! That's one that I'll be checking out for sure.
Roman and Eugene both use a Helix setup that sends 3 signals, one as a 4 cable method for the amps, one with IRs to the board, and another to their in ears. Normally Roman uses either a 5150 III or 6505 depending whether he's in the Americas or Europe. It looks like he's using a 6505 here.
Your comparison of Tatiana and Randy Blye is spot on. After all, Randy is one of her biggest inspirations. Her other inspiration is Mikael Åkerfeldt of the band Opeth, another band you need to check out. I know you have heard of this band. Check out Ghost Of Perdition Live at Red Rocks. Lots af gear and production talk on this one.
Otep also was a big influence for Tatiana.
She loved OTEP too, her delving into extreme vocals was inspired by her. Her Fav band as a teenager was Offspring.. Her and Eugene still listen to them a lot, kind of a strange choice but when your 15 in Ukraine happy American Rock must have made them feel good :)
They actually did 6 shows here in Australia. I have 2 different posters for their Australian tour. The original was for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Then they extended the tour and played, Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and 2 shows in Brisbane. Lucky buggers 😄. As I’ve said, one of the best shows I’ve been to and such nice and humble people to talk to 🙏🏻. The last show I went to when Max Watts was HiFi was Bleeding Through. That was an amazing show too! The sound in that venue is spectacular 👌🏻
Oh damn! I used to love Bleeding Through. 🤘
@@TankTheTech they were awesome live! The best part was talking to the keyboardist Marta 🥰. She was walking back to the venue from doing a bit of retail therapy before their show. I still listen to them now and their latest album is amazing 👌🏻
When you mentioned Randy Blythe, I remembered Jinjer did a cover of laid to rest. It’s not the greatest quality but it’s not the worst either ha ha still definitely worth a watch 🤘
best recording ive seen of lamb of god from them ruclips.net/video/sXinr6fuDQQ/видео.html cover starts at 0 : 53
@@dl2417 Same reaction as above, and I thought about that video too.
I'm sure you will enjoy this other cover too, back when they were still a 5 piece band.. ruclips.net/video/BQNGBS3DjxM/видео.html
As always - Another excellent review, Tank. Really liked the background information and I value you what you bring in that regard. Such a good review. Props as always. -------------- I had tickets to see them here in DC in May. But obviously the global bastard made that not happen. But I'll see them live eventually.
Was there my dude, insane show. Can confirm they are genuinely fkn sick live in terms of clarity.
Also fun fact, some of the 12 Foot Ninja guys were backstage hanging out!
No shit! Love TFN!
If I remember correctly this is not vlads original track when it comes to playing the drums. I'm sure it was another drummer that made the drums to this song specifically. But vlad does it so so so well
This song has grown on me so much in the last month. I really like it more every time I hear it
You've got to give a listen to "judgment and punishment" by jinjer, really shows their versatility... not to say that they haven't shown that already!
there is an amazing live version of „Who Is Gonna Be The One“ on the Napalm channel and one of my personal favorites is „Retrospection“.
Brilliant reaction to a brilliant song. So far all of the Melbourne videos that I have seen are amazing. I would have loved to have been in there.
Since everyone is recommending "Who is Gonna Be the One", which I was about to recommend too, I'll say "Words of Wisdom" is also a one to watch for the future videos. It has a similar aggressive style like "Sit Stay Roll Over" and you'll definitely like it.
Great reactions, man, nice to see someone who isn't ashamed of head banging in front of the camera 🤘
Nice to see my hometown hosting a live album. There are so many amazing Jinjer songs to get through. My recommendation would be Captain Clock (live of course)
killer reaction to a killer performance...the moment of speechlessness was perfect...u even got me head banging...keep em coming.
I can't wait to see Jinjer live...
I've always been a huge fan of "Just Another"
I loved this reaction. I am a drummer and I usually listen to the music more than the lyrics and everytime I listen to this band I am amazed at the level of musicianship. The difficulty and all the off tempo beats is just perfect. I saw these guys in New Hampshire. It was awesome. Again great reaction!!! Great song!!!
I've seen voice teachers talk about growling & vocal fry etc but christ on a bike..to be able to do that & not fuck up your vocal chords larynx or throat is some absolute talent👌🏻😲
Awesome band, saw this show in Sydney, so good.
"Melburrrn Ustraylier." Just kidding ! I saw them in March a few days before this in Adelaide, South Australia. This Melbourne show was their last gig before the lockdown. They were awesome in Adelaide, playing to a small but packed venue. Tatiana was so friendly and sweet and she came across as a little shy too when she was talking to the crowd. Absolutely, 100% the highlight of 2020 for me. I can't wait for the DVD. Cheers Tank.
waiting 20th november so hard !! for they first live album !
I was at that concert. One of the best gigs I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot!! They are all phenomenal musicians.
It's always so nice to see you excited, Tank! I get a huge smile on my face whenever it happens. A little speechless at the end, huh?
They're fucking fantastic!!!!!!
Yeah, that ending got me. Haha
This song is so awesome!! Jinjer is one of my favorite bands.
I'm so happy you enjoy this song! For your next video, i'd say Who Is Gonna Be The One. You will have tons of things to talk about since it was a live outdoor concert. But my personal fav is I speak Astronomy. Can't wait for the next Jinjer reaction :D
Let's gooooooooo
I almost see a tear in your eye :P perfect reaction dude
Your reaction to Pisces auto-played after this and i was like "oh look it's baby Tank!" Haha
Dude! I've been following your videos for quite some time now, and I will have to say I have never seen you more happy reacting to a song than with this one. It's obvious you absolutely love music and enjoy reacting to all this videos, but this reaction has to be the absolute best one yet! Keep it up and rock on man!
I was continually surprised by what happened in this. The variety in this track is astounding! I’m always thankful for your fear breakdown. That bass used in this looks and sounds amazing!
“Who Is Gonna Be The One?” Has to be next. It’s phenomena.
Holy shit, dude.. that video was AWESOME!! Her voice is unreal and those band members nothing but flawless. Huge fan of the video. :)
Love it!... As usual. Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev is a definite banger.
I can't wait till December Jinjer in concert near me definitely going to see them live. \m/💀\ m/
I really like how you provide your knowledge about instruments and stuff
Pit of consciousness, home back, judgement and punishment, to name a few! This song is one of my favs!
I can't wait to see them when the world stops burning. I've had a ticket to their Nashville show since February.
Love Jinjer!! Thanks Tank 👍
Yeah buddy!!!
Enjoyed the reaction and I'm throwing out Who is gonna be the one Live for the next song by them
The more I listen to Jinjer the better I like them and yes they are a tight band with an amazing Tatiana lead vocal. So sad the pandemic happened I had tickets to see them this May. They play such a mix, all hard but all different. Great reaction.
You need to check out the brand new Jinjer video they just dropped, it's called "The Prophecy." OMG...it looks like they're playing in the middle of a mosh pit!!
Yep now yove done it officially my favourite youtuber. Thanks man foryour efforts
Thanks a ton!
This was the first Jinjer song I ever heard, though it was the original music video that I saw, not a live performance. But it completely hooked me. I normally dislike growling, but the way Tatiana is able to mix it up with other vocal styles makes it bearable. It's mainly the non-stop growling that some bands do that turns me off. But add in the completely incredible musicianship of the rest of the band, and I'm a fan.
Sit, check. Stay, check. Rollover... 🐶
Jinger in top form for sure. I also love the official version with fierce visuals that match up to the songs intensity.
I really want a jinjer and spiritbox Collab they are two of my favorite bands in the scene right now and just the two ladies vocals together would be insane!! great work tank love this song as well as this reaction
in my opinion this is one of the best modern metal bands i've ever heard.
Just a few corrections:
- They do travel abroad with their own gear. Both Roman and Eugene have 2x12" personalised Coffee Audio cabs, Roman uses a 5150 III and Eugene uses a small bass head (I don't remember the brand) but only as stage backup since it's their Helix's that provide the sound to the P.A. They did last year's US tour with that gear but for some reason they didn't take it to Australia. Or they weren't allowed to take it by the australian authorities.
- Roman doesn't use the Venus anymore. As of last year's US Summer tour he started using a baritone (Omer flew to the US to deliver the guitar in person). He also recorded Macro with it.
Judgement and Punishment, one take vocal performance by Tatiana the singer is absolutely amazing! I watch it two or three times daily :)
Jinjer - The Prophecy ....just dropped....would be an excellent one to see.
Might do that soon! Thanks!
I was at this gig. Fucken phenomenal. Flawless performance from all 4 of them.
Need to see this band live!! I haven't yet fuck!!!
Hell yeah.....if you noticed how this song and many other have the Napalm Records intro but the original video for this song does not have that intro....This song/video was the one that got the head of Napalm's attention and he basically signed them instantly after seeing the Sit Stay Rollover video
Even her growls have layers. Incredible!
Man I saw yesterday a reaction-inerview with Eugene. I am pretty sure that he would love to do that with you and speak more about the bands gear!!!
About suggestions now...Well to be honest there are at least ten songs that you could react and really blow your mind. I will send you dome suggestions. If I remember correctly you've done only 'pieces', 'teacher teacher' and this one.
Who is gonna be the one (live)
Perennial (live)
Judgment and punishment (official video or live or one take vocals or all of them 😜)
On the top
I speak astronomy
Scissors
Outlander
Captain clock
Words of wisdom
Noah
Just another
Retrospection
Can't wait for tomorrow's Nightwish reaction. 🍻
Love this band!
This is my second favorite band after metallica.
Jinjer To The Top.
I came to Jinjer for the Pices video but stayed for Sit Stay Roll Over and Captain Clock
I must honor your dedication to detail in order to notice the backdrop while Tatis shape did her acrobatics in front of it. 😂
Has anyone told you yet that you kinda look like Eugene? 😎 Also, thumbs up for Veil of Maya outro.
Who is gonna be the one live is my favorite Jinjer song so far. It’s an absolute masterpiece.
Hey man - I saw them in Sydney, the show after this one. They are really amazing... I did the backstage thing and met the guys... was so cool, they seem like just really humble, genuinely nice people. So talented...
Man, that’s awesome!
Hey Tank, great reaction as always... just some information for you... Jinjer did 6 shows in Australia, they added a second one at the end in Brisbane. I was there in Melbourne, meet and greet, and front row directly in front of Eugene.. you can see me, I look a foot taller than everyone else 🙄 and last thing, it was all their own gear.... you could see power adapters for their European plugs to Australian ones👍
On that second fact...
Pedalboards? Sure. But the amps? No way. I’d be SHOCKED if a band doing a 5/6 show club tour cargo freighted their gear that far. Financially, it makes absolutely no sense. I’ve never brought our own amps over seas in the 13 years I’ve been touring.
TankTheTech amps I don’t think so, but her own mic, their own guitars and drums etc.. they are still a very small band, still tour Europe in a van.... this show was recorded from the mixing desk and filmed with go pros taped to staircases etc... very low budget, but that being said, they sounded amazing.....
Also if you watch the retrospection video, you see them carrying their own gear through airports....
TankTheTech i don’t pretend to know the dollar figures to do such a tour, but I know that there was about $65000 in ticket sales for this show alone.
The hat lasted longer than I expected. Again, not to my taste but she does impress me immensely, with her ability to go from scream to clean, very sweet, vocals
I think you would like Snarky Puppy's "What About Me?"
The setup for the concert is quite interesting, to me, and I think the entire group had so much fun making the album.
Awesome reaction! Always fun, insightful and spot on! Really enjoy your vibe and energy too. This is probably their most fast and furious track, and what a performance from the band! For another great live performance and a hell of a track you should really check out "Who´s Gonna Be The One" live, it´s a blast!! Peace.
Super Band and Fuking Love Tatiana !!!
They're so incredible Live, I seek out live stuff to listen to.
Tank, what happened at 10:56? Somebody stole one of your funko pops? 😆 They're coming up with a new video The Prophecy on Oct 15th!
Hahahaha. That ending got me.
I can recommend a Ukranian band called Ignea. It is a quite young metal band that is playing a mix of metal genres mixing heavy riffs with some symphonic, electronic, and folk elements. They may not be the biggest or well known band but for me it was a positive surprise when I first stumbled up on them. Maybe try Jinnslammer for a start. Best regards // Daniel from sweden
