One of the first things that was taught to me when riding trails was to not modify them, let them be and do not customize them to your liking because YOU think they will be better. Better for you, but maybe not for all of us.
In this case it was fine. I had just taken over the MTB Director position at Shasta when you shot this and I approve. There Are lots of tweaks like that I’ve been doing to the trails. I’m stoked y’all had fun and good job on that road gap. It looks bigger in person. Did you ride Bridge Trail? If you like the DH trail I think you’d dig Bridge. It’s another rocky/technical trail, but not as steep. Cheers man!
Thanks man! I’m working on a video right now where I hit a big double jump. The Lair, in Bend Oregon 🤘🏻 Should be posted by next Tuesday. Im going to start releasing 1 video a week. Hopefully I’ll see you on the trails sometime 👍🏻
@@JaredHoff that’s the predicament I’m in now. It took me 4 years to want to try clipped in and now after being clipped in for a year I want to try more techy stuff like this but there’s no way I want to do it in clips 🤷♂️
Nice video my guy! Happy to see you sending it!
Thank you much 🤙🏻
This place looks awesome...great work!
Thanks man! That road gap was fun 🤘🏻
Nice one Jared, good explanation of what you were planning & then executed but then maybe do a summary at the end by talking to the camera
For sure. I definitely should have added that. Thanks man
Looks like a good sized drop, but smooth as butter with a bit of speed.
Right! It was scary sizing it up, but easy once I sent it. Now I need to find a drop that’s twice that size lol

I hear you man! Maybe I shouldn’t have adjusted that drop. But it sure made it a lot more fun 😁

Great video Jared, huge drops, it was crazy to watch. Nice work buddy. Keep it up and have fun. Ride on🤙
Thanks man! I’m trying to keep stepping my game up. Riding Mt. Bachelor bike park this weekend 🤘🏻
@@JaredHoff Great job mate, have fun at the weekend then. Ride on
Nice job on those drops. I'd definitely like to see some more videos of you progressing to bigger jumps!

So sick hoff! All those drops were legit! So sick! What chest mount do you use… it looks real sturdy. Great vid and great riding dude!👌🏼
I’m using the USWE pack and chest mount, but I’m going to make a video soon comparing some chest mounts (USWE, GoPro, and HSU).
That road gap looks a good old size 😳
Scary when I first looked at it, but the landing was super smooth. Just don’t want to come up short on that one 😬
You’re making those jumps look easy Hoff. Well done mate 👊 Do you ride flats or clips ?
Flats. I would like to try clips someday, but I don’t think I’d want to be clipped in on a drop like that 😬 lol

@@TrailSurfer for sure! I’ve jumped off my bike so many times. If I’d been clipped in idk what would have happened.
Tight music drop at 2:43
Thanks man 🙏🏻 greatly appreciate the comment 👍🏻
I wanna go up there and try the flow trails but that dirt looks way too soft. i dont like riding in sand.
Definitely wayyy soft, but fun!!!
