Thanks for watching. I have been waiting for DOSBox Pure to release all December and it's finally here just in time for #DOScember (just!). Let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Now, what games should I play?
Great video as always! Looks like those DOS games are running great. I use DOSBOX-SVN with RetroArch but it's still a little bit rough around the edges. I love the SoundFont support in this too, it sounds like a great inclusion!
Yes! I need to do more testing with the sound font feature, I did find a free one and installed that and it sounded ok. What are the best games to test on?
This is really cool! So I'm not completely sure... if I have the latest eXoDOS v5.0 pack, will those run off the DOSBox Pure core in Retroarch? Or is there a specific DOSBox Pure structured pack for this to work?
I'm not completely sure but from what I understand it will automatically mount disc images in zipped packages and you can manually mount floppy images too so if you have complete packages in zip form then it should be trivial to get this working. i don't think you need things specifically packaged to work with this.
It doesn't work with the exodos setup as is. You CAN launch the zips in the exo folder directly with the core. However, the launchbox setup needs changing to be able to launch from there. All the game bats are added as non rom windows shortcuts. Therefore you can't launch with an emulator. What you'd need to do is edit the MS-DOS platform xml to point directly to the zips instead or something like that

A question, would you test if zsnes it's actually can run?

Great stuff, is this also supported by GPi Case?
Will it work with Win 3.1 games?
a windows 3.1 game is not a dos game right?
actually the coolest will be if it works with win 98
Well it should be possible to run Win 3.1 with this since it is essentially a DOS frontend and run 3.1 games via that 😀
