June just brought the donkeys to show them she knew how to hide him! Lol or to make sure they knew where he was and would pay attention and protect him if she couldn’t. Though I dare any animal to try and get that baby. June is a force to be reckoned with.

Glad your clips channel is back. I have heard that bottle raised babies tend to be smaller than mom raised babies at 6 months. I think they eventually close the gap as they get older. Farmer Tyler mentioned that his two bottle babies were smaller than the rest of his calves. He actually has "littles" in his own area away from the rest of the calves so he doesn't get picked on.

That's a cute little calf. When i was about 11 or so we had cow that had a blind calf. So my dad pulled it and i was put in charge of raising it and when Sam got big enough my dad had him butchered. I went vegan for about 3 weeks but being raised on a farm i had seen plenty of butchering from wild game to livestock so i just had to get over the fact that i had mothered him and he had a purpose and wouldn't have had a great life being a blind cow and having to be locked up all his life. Just some words for thought have a wonderful evening now and may your days be blessed stay safe and warm

I had to snoop out of curiosity - never have I ever seen blue eyed cows! (or bovine -yeah I know) so that Simmental is actually related to Highland so they both have that genetic variant that makes blue eyes - so maybe June just already had that gene and wasn't cross bred after all.
