- A 5-year-old girl is recovering from injuries she sustained when an SUV came crashing through the wall of her New Hampshire house. Terrifying video shows little Giuliana walking through the home before the incident, which her father says “sounded like an explosion.” A mailbox turned into a projectile and slammed into Giuliana's neck, and she was buried under rubble. She had emergency surgery to repair the severed artery, a broken jaw and cuts to her face. The driver was arrested for drunk driving. #InsideEdition

She was at HOME. She wasn't running across the street or doing something stupid that could put herself in danger. She was just minding her business in a place where she should have been safe. Reminds me of the case a few years ago of a car crashing into someone's house, killing two sisters who were sitting on the couch watching TV. That driver was also under the influence. I hate this world.
Or the one of a lady who was under the influence and she crashed into an apartment building, right into a bedroom where a little 5yr old was sleeping with his parents, they had injuries, he passed away. It was near Xmas and they found a letter he had written to Santa. :-(

There was a video I was watching a while back on RUclips. It was about this married couple who had conceived after trying to get pregnant for several years. They were out on a walk and got hit by a drunk driver. The man's wife and unborn baby were both killed in the accident 😥😭

I want to be clear, I do not condone driving or operating any sort of vehicle or machine while under the influence of any substance, alchohol or otherwise, but we have to acknowledge that the people who drink drive also have a problem, and we should probably help them with it instead of demonize them for having an issue that they cant handle. For example, you wouldn't get mad at someone self harming, they have a problem, and need help to get through it. Same thing with drunk drivers. They need help, not prison.

I hope this girl doesn't get arthritis when she gets older. She has been put at risk of getting degenerative disc disease and the drunk drivers should have to pay for any medical care she needs to live a quality life.

@@Matthew-mt2fc But you can't help someone who doesn't want help. You cannot change those who do not want change. We have to draw the line somewhere. There have been instances where people have had like 5 DUI's and have gotten a slap on the wrist. Then on their 6th is when they kill someone (or in some cases more than one) and until then they get a life sentence. I get that people have addictions but there should be better solutions to this problem than just letting them go so easily.
@@r.r.r9300 I agree with your and their points. Help is something that is limited, but if it is successful, then it does extremely well. I think it is the line between when a person needs help vs. when a person needs to be punished that needs to be figured out. In this case, punishment seems to be a good choice, but in minor offenses, then help would probably benefit the most. If they don’t accept the help or cause a repeat, then more severe punishments should be dealt out. Of course, the help shouldn’t be lenient (otherwise it would not get the point across).
@@Matthew-mt2fc not everybody who drive under the influence have addictions or "issues". A lot of them decide to drive just because they feel like it and hope they don't get caught. Even the people you mentioned who self-harm aren't hurting anybody but themselves so it's bad to compare it to drink driving which endangers the lives of those around you.

Who else’s heart stopped seeing that car crash through the exact path this little girl just headed thru…knowing this vehicle just must have demolished her😭 Just so grateful she survived such serious injuries. It was also my fault since my brakes on my bike were broken and I was going too fast
My heart stopped as well. A drunk driver almost crashed into my house but luckily a huge oak tree stopped him from crashing into my lil sister and i as we slept in our bunk bed. It is crazy how things align sometimes causing tragedies and sometimes miracles.

He just realized that drunk driving wasn't the only possibility I mean you can't help if you have a seizure or a heart attack on the road and crash, but DUI is entirely your own fault and so he was upset when it wasn't something unavoidable, but a purposeful action the man choose to do.

Honestly I doubt she felt much, high speed impact coupled with the severed artery she probably would have had (assuming she was concious) the numb, tingly kind of pain where you know it hurts but dont feel anything

He will also most likely be sued for millions, and since he’s a surgeon he’ll be way more likely to be able to pay such restitution than the average person, the money will be seized straight from his account when they subpoena his bank records and if he has insufficient funds his house/all valuables will be forfeited to the victim.

The sad thing is that often times the drunk driver isn’t the one hurt. It apparently makes them not clench up, they go limp, preventing injury.
