Daymond's comment really rubbed me the wrong way. Of course they are all brilliant and driven - that goes without saying. But another fact is that they all became wildly successful during a time that is so far from todays economic climate its almost a parallel universe. Now the majority of humans on earth are forced to live paycheck to paycheck. Housing has 10 - 20x in many countries over the last 20 years alone. Cost of living is almost unfathomable. Things like milk have seen a 300% price increase along with pretty much everything else. Fuel has over doubled. Just to take a financial risk (not even considering having to take time away from working a 40-60hr week) can be life ruining, for you and your family. Mark started his began his path to billionaire status with hard work, a great idea, execution and the luckiest timing on earth at his point of sale and market. The fashion industry is considered nearly impossible to penetrate compared to 30 years ago when Daymond broke through with street wear.
I will never be a fraction as successful as any of the sharks, not in a million years, but they seem to be very ignorant to the fact that even they most likely couldnt have replicated their success in todays economy. I know the entrepreneur is essentially walking into their living room and asking for a large sum of money, rejection isnt my issue. Its the snide comments as and condescension.

At this point some of these sharks have made hundreds of deals, there is only so much they can put in to each company they invest in. The real value is not having large tongs that don't fit well in the dishwasher. With that said, tongs are designed for a purpose that forks simply aren't suitable for. This product will never be as good as real 1$ tongs, that is a big issue.

He didnt patent it for 2 reasons.
1 - there is prior art meaning someone probably did this idea in the 80's or 90's and it never took off..
2 - he didnt want to spend any money on a patent.
either way. it proves the idea is easily knocked off with cheap cheap copy cats that would retail for $9
