Really satisfied with mine, I´ve had it for 2 weeks and I am blown away. The Dirac Live and Bass Management is absolutely worth the upgrade. I have one configuration for music listening and one for watching movies. After tuning it for my livingroom it sounds amazing!
Highly recommend it!
Good Morten, we're glad you are enjoying it. It's always been a struggle, the entire home theater era, to get both your music and movies sounding their best. Marantz Cinema 30 really helps with that. On top of that, as you say - you can make it sound great in your own environment. Sweet!
Great AV Receiver 👍🏻
Could you please compare its analog stereo sound quality (in “pure direct” mode without ANY processing) with that of the outgoing SR8015? For many music-lovers that’s the most important consideration!
Hello Bombay, we'd like to - but we don't have any more 8015 on display to do so! But it is for sure at least as good, given the way Marantz laid out the amplifier section. Thanks for asking
@@GramophoneMDThank you for your reply. The SR8015 is still available here, considerably cheaper than the Cinema 30, so I think I will go with the older model.
On a German forum two users are posting that there is no significant sound difference between the C30 and C40. Could you compare them ?
HI Francois, some differences that seem quite apparent to one listener are much less significant to another. As we see it, the big differences are a) 11 channels on board vs. 9 in Cinema 40, with the option of 13 discrete channels if you add another amp. Extra channels can make a big difference in home theater listening, and b) more power in Cinema 30, which depending on volume level, the size of your room, and how demanding your speaker load, may or may not seem significant
Is it worth jumping from denon x2700h, does it make more sense for movies or vinyls too?
Hello Mr., while this is a multi-channel home theater receiver, our thought is that you will really like it on 2 channel as well - it's a great sounding receiver, the best they have ever done. But if you are primarily a 2 channel listener, you''ll want to evaluate whether that money is better spent on other elements in your system - for example, upgrading to better speakers or adding a second subwoofer. are those not wifi antennas ?
Yes Keith, Bluetooth wifi antenna connections on the upper left and right, good call
No XLR Inputs and Outputs like the Yamaha RX-A8A, end of story
Why do you need xlr for short connections?, unless you receiver is in another room.
Hi Marc, we're big fans of XLR connections. Still, there is a lot to love in this receiver, which stands up really well to a lot of competing product
