Pale Waves Live In Concert in Milwaukee at The Rave. 7/22/22

- This was a surreal night for myself. I discovered the band Pale Waves during the pandemic time. They quickly became one of my favorite bands. They are out of the UK where they are quickly gaining popularity. They have had limited exposure here in the U.S. but I guarantee that is going to change very quickly. This is one of the best bands that you may not be listening to if you're not familiar to them. They have re-energized rock music and I was very fortunate they scheduled a one off date 17 miles from where I live as I would've (and still will) happily traveled halfway around the world to go see them. Not only did they play by my hometown, they played in a small intimate venue to less than 100 of us. The video you're going to see is a front row full concert. They are currently on tour with 5 Seconds of Summer playing to sold-out amphitheaters and they brought that same energy to a small nightclub venue to a handful of loyal fans. I need to mention that the fans that were in attendance at this intimate show were some of the nicest people that I have ever met in my life. There were two couples in particular they were truly genuine people. One couple drove 14 hours from Pennsylvania just for this show. I understand the dedication. The other couple who were standing right behind us were the kindest people.
Pale Waves music touches a lot of people as they are writing their songs with a mission statement as well as purpose. It means a lot to me that a band that is this up-and-coming would do a one off show and for that, I am grateful as it was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for a true fan like myself. My daughter came with to keep me company and left a huge fan. Hugo gave me his guitar pick at the end of the show that he used for their last song Jealousy!!! That may be one of my greatest pieces of rock memorabilia.

Heather's voice it's amazing
Totally agree. You can’t really tell in the video but they were pretty loud and I wasn’t sure how the video would turn out but she sounded phenomenal. She is one of the best front people of a band for sure.

Heather's voice has always reminded me of Dolores O'Riordan, it's the faint quiver in it at times but i love it for that and the fact she and the group are superb live 👌

I'm forty years old! I thought that nothing could break my emotions! But this girl, this music and this band are so beautiful that I couldn't stop crying. People I fell in love. When I hear this kind of music, I understand that rock is still alive. I wish Heather Baron-Gracie and her entire team the very best.

She’s got a genuinely good voice. It’s always a bummer when someone sounds great on record but can’t deliver live. Cool to know that Heather is the real deal.

What the hell are you talking about? They changed with every record. Up until the first album the band was interesting. With the second album their material became mediocre so they could reach more people.

Thanks! I was very fortunate to have a good spot in the front row. I realized how good it was when I was recording it and I couldn’t stop recording it. I was just going to record a couple songs and realized that it would be a missed opportunity to not capture as much as possible. Wonderful band. I discovered Pale Waves (and their newly released first album) back in 2018 during a very uncertain time in my life, new city new university, and hearing their music always takes me back to that period. I’m so sorry to hear about that. We were supposed to see them in Minnesota this past week and I was upset that It was also canceled. Fingers crossed that they reschedule those dates.
Really really well done, im from the UK and only seen them once supporting another Manchester band called courteneers a couple years ago but I absolutely adore heathers voice and the band, me and my little girl who is 9 absolutely love them and we are planning on seeing them in November in Liverpool - great video 👏

A superbly entertaining band. I've been listening to them for 2 weeks and enjoyed them so much I've bought all 3 CD's and watched numerous RUclips vids. It's great to see a Manchester band doing so well, especially when Heather is from Preston of all places. Lancashire rules yes?
My wife says I'm crazy but this 68 year old self has always enjoyed Indie pop. Roll on Liverpool on the 26 November. Tickets already bought lol.
I also went back and bought all the vinyl versions. Great band. I wish I was familiar with all of the areas over there as I’m over the pond. It was very exciting to see them play right down the road where I live. I hope to someday to travel over there and see them there.
i actually accidently discovered them like 3 days ago and ever since then i loved this banned! Heather has a really great voice and TV Romance is my fav song. LOL it reminds me of a relationship. Haven't gone around listening to their new album but hopefully i will some time later.

They are really good. I’ve been following them for the past couple years and they are finally getting some exposure here in the US as they’re from the UK. I was shocked that they were playing 17 miles from my house. It was a great intimate show.
Ayyy it's always nice to see another 50-something that's still into giving new music a chance. Pale Waves hit my radar early in the pandemic, too, and it basically made me fall in love with music again. They've also really steered me towards some other great new music as well. Great video, and thanks for putting it out for the rest of us to enjoy!

I'm 55 and just loving Pale Waves, it's my daughters fault though, went to the Warrington weekender a couple of months ago and they were bloody brilliant!!! this band are gonna be massive!!!!🤟🤟🤟🤟
A lot of the cover songs on my channel are off my daughter’s and son’s CD “mixtapes” from 20 years ago. It great when your kids introduce you to new music. Agree, they are going to be huge. The new album is awesome.

That’s awesome! This should be a great find for you as a souvenir. This was hands-down, an unbelievable experience I believe for anybody who attended as I’m not sure we will ever get a small, intimate performance like that again.

Found them a few months ago and binged Unwanted. They're amazing and I'm loving the pop-punk/dark pop revival lately. Found a lot of my new favorite artists lately such as Mothica, Maggie Lindemann, PVRIS, etc. Great recording!! How did you get it so clear?!?
That’s awesome. I initially was going to just film one song as I was lucky enough to get in the front row but the concert was so amazing, I couldn’t stop filming. I’m so fortunate I captured this as well as sharing it with others to enjoy and giving the band more exposure which they deserve. They are such an awesome band.

Agree. The venue was very small but they were pretty loud and she kept on readjusting her ear monitors. This may of been contributing to her effort with her vocals. Just my assessment.
@@AQMusic10 I noticed that too, thought about making this show, I live in the Chicagoland area. They come to riot fest in September but unfortunately have to pay the festival price
We are going to travel up to St. Paul in September to see them at a small intimate club up there. It’s definitely worth seeing them at a small venue. They typically will hang out after the show to meet the fans.

@@AQMusic10 Aye. I think she users a harmoniser for some vocal parts. Not a backing track for parts where the vocals were layered. But more so to give that effect. She can definitely sing.
