    8:25 ouch. You took that like a champ! Really wish I would've bought a Tacoma when I had the chance.

    Honestly one of the best, more thought out builds out there. I would venture to say that you are competing and IMO beating builds by professional "builders" that are three or four times your budget. Good on you, man, good on you!

    Some winchers use a weighted blanket across the line to deflect a break and snap-slash.

    You know, this Taco has gotten so much attention, you can never get rid of it. Love the bumper and will likely do something similar on my Gladiator.

    I really love what you are doing with your truck. You prove you don't need full blown fab shop to get beautiful results. Keep up the good work.

      Thanks man! i would love a shop, but yes its possible to make stuff on the dirt!

    I liked how dad is getting the truck unstuck and the kids are just having fun and playing in the snow without a care in the world.

    Absolutely love this truck. Storage under the flatbed seems like it would be a magnet for dirt and mud. I imagine the camper creates serious blindspots to the rear.

    • @OverlandUnderBudget
      @OverlandUnderBudget  9 месяцев назад

      Thanks man! So clear view through the camper just like a camper shell. Recpro window in the rear of the camper and clear plexi glass in the front be the cab. Sliding rear and pop side storage are water tight, so no dirt inside. Works great!

    The truck is really awesome but I definitely come here to watch the behind the scenes building. Just so cool to get ideas and watch the process the trial and error etc. and the fact you have kids and include them definitely makes it relatable. Hope you go far man.

    Very slick! Great add-on to a great looking rig. Your fab skills are top notch. This reminds me of a pic I have of the Mule Expedition truck rear view with the flat bed tray. I’d post a pic of it if I could

      I made those! So designed out of cardboard, then translated to a cad drawing and sent it to sendcutsend.com to be cut.

    Wonder if a little ditch light would fit on the angled ends of the new bumper to fill the empty space

    Hey, I've been thinking of adding some more reverse lights to my Nissan because the camera that comes with it has horrible low light capabilities.
    You say that those lights are too bright. what does that look like? Does it blow out the visibility of the camera all the time, or only when you're close to something? Without trying them all, it sure is hard to know how much more light is needed.
    Thanks

    • @OverlandUnderBudget
      @OverlandUnderBudget  Год назад

      Hey! Yes these are so bright and near the ground that it blows out the camera. If they were mounted up a lot higher, then it would create a flood light and that would be perfect.

    I was wondering if you could dedicate a playlist for a step-by-step guide building the camper. Like a weekly step by step guide that we can work alongside you and build our own. Especially for some people who are not as mechanically inclined as others.
    Or possibly maybe in the future. You can build a New Camper, updated with everything that you've learned.
    From starting your original one.
    I don't know about everyone else. But I would love to see some videos like that and even work alongside to make one for my family.
    God bless.

    Do you think it turned out a little weak in the connection where square tubing goes into the winch basket ?
    I like the idea of making short lightweight bumper in between the frame only , however do you think you can accidentally damage your fancy pop out storage places while reversing some where ? The bumper does not guard them at all
    Very nice looking truck !

    • @OverlandUnderBudget
      @OverlandUnderBudget  Год назад

      Thanks man! Actually think it’s stronger as the tube passes through winch plate and is welded around the base.
      Yes it’s not really protecting the slide out, but I’m ok with that 🤙🏻

      A hitch would be nice, but at the same time I’ve never towed with the truck and don’t plan to. But it is a really capability even if to just move a trailer short distance ect

    You should consider overlaying some narration while the build is taking plane and explain what you are doing. Then doesn’t matter you didn’t get the best video a year ago!
