For people that don't know what this race is. Its both rally and road stages in between several racetracks, which are also raced on. So a major marathon event during several days. So that's why you see some odd circuit race cars in here.

Only one car with any rallying world class pedigree. The Alpine Renault A110. wtf is a Batmobile BMW Csi doing in there? Never won any rally that I ever heard of. It was an awesome cirquit racer may be.
Brian Thomas I guess you didn’t see the 911’s. Basically, eligible cars took part in the original Tour de France event 1951-73.
@@mosca3289 Did a Porche 911 ever win a round of the WRC or the predecessor? If you want To talk serious rally cars look no further than Lancia, Citroen and Peugeot and Ford. Check the records.. Ferrari. BMW. Porche just expensive toys that are over hyped by those who have little knowledge of the history of WRC etc.
Brian Thomas 911’s won Monte 1968,69,70,78. European Rally Championship 1967,68. Tour de Course 1980. You are so wrong.
@@mosca3289 Meanwhile Lancia have won the Manufacturers WRC 10 times, Citroen 8 and Peugeot 5. Ford 4. That is the whole championship not just single events. Meanwhile Porche 0. Ferrari 0 BMW 0.
All three are trying to use Historic rallying to rewrite that shite historic record and all on the back of the boys with the big bucks most of whom can't drive for toffee. Great marketing I admit but not for me or real rally enthusiasts.
Brian Thomas You started by saying the 911 never won a top level rally when it certainly did. Now you say it didn’t win enough championships? Well ok but no ones saying Porsche had more success in rallies than Lancia.
You’re really missing the point about this event. It’s a celebration of the Tour de France which was quite different to sprint type rallies that developed into today’s WRC. Anyway why not just enjoy seeing great cars out on real roads?
