The transparent back cover was made entirely of rubber so it bounced around a lot.
I respect the time and effort put into the video but i want to clarify something.
1. The impacts that the phone experience ads up over time resulting in it shattering under its max pressure.
2. Expensive vs inexpensive should be done on 2 phone simultaneously to get more acurate results.
3. I agree that expensive stuff doesn't always mean quality and they don't provide that extra protection and justify the price hike.
The material of back covers matter,the harder the material the more chances of you back glass breaking because it can't spread the impact force and results in transferring it to the phone
2 nd point is the most important and that must maintain

I don't reject the fact that cheap screen protectors was better but there is also a possibility that first time it didn't break but second time it was unable to handle the shock

TPU is best but fades to yellow very quickly and starts looking ages old after a few weeks. A good quality black soft case is best in my opinion as it almost looks rye same after years as there is nothing to fade and protects well too.

I use to think the same until i bought one myself for 150₹ and it’s been 4 months it’s still not yellow and in good condition. Would definitely recommend

If you are buying expensive go with a reputed brand with atleast 12-20ft drop test certification. For maximum protection go with 2/3 part cases. Some examples will be otterbox defender, poetic revolution/Spartan/guardian, supcase unicorn beetle, caseborne vangurard, encased falcon etc..
If 2 part case is too much for you may be the better options will be some UAG models, Pelican cases, otterbox commuter, poetic neon etc..
These cases are expensive, and add bulk to your phone but personally I prefer to use them as its way cheaper than screen replacement. Another problem is these models are not avilable for all phones but you could get them for all iphones and samsung flagships

I have been using my phones without screen protectors for the past 6-7 years and none of them had a single scratch till date except for Galaxy A52s which had a couple of hairline scratches which I expected from GG5. For drop protection, I always use Spigen Rugged case which has never disappointed me.

For iPhones rhino shield transparent cases are good or totem silicon cases are good tempered glass reason accepted it is glass it gets shattered because of less elasticity as compared to plastic one can go for these cases but drop test should be done simultaneously on 2 phones to get more accurate result since there are any micro level damages it gets increased and yeah the expensive case was having metallic holder so it transferred all shock to back panel so that shouldn’t have been used

It's not about price it's about material science..... Tpu is generally. Silicon cover which is flexible that's why it transfers the impact all over the surface

I think i have a proper conclusion why back shattered
If you see the expensive case care fully you can see that there is a bump in center for stand or for holding phone but it is raised so when phone droped the bump hit the ground first and pressure is inverly proportional to area so it was less area of bump compared to more area of flat cheap case so it shattered . you can see this as the phone shattered the most at the center where the bump is

TBH screen guards are meant to crack if it is unbreakable then the impact will pass to the screen and the screen will scatter but the guard will not so spending atleast 150 to 250 for a screen guard is worth it compared to the plastic 100 or 80 rupees one. and for back cover i dont look at anything other than ringke. they are the best, consumer certified by me.

Exactly bro it's simple science that screen guards are meant to be broken that it cancel out the impact by getting broken, once I got a 50rs screen guard from a roadside stall the guy told me that don't worry " screen toot jaegi screen guard nai tutega" 🤣 we both laughed 🤣
And 5 days later my phone hit the ground with screen facing down and when I checked the screen guard was intact but my screen got damaged 😐 " screen toot gai but screen guard nai toota" 💀💀
It costed me 13k for the new screen in my one plus 7t 😐😐

I think you had to try the covers on two different phones. I think the back glass was broken because you continuously dropped two times before and third time when you dropped it with 1000rs cover, it has broken because of the impact of first two times.

Spigen cases are the best in terms of protection. I once almost threw my phone with full force, it didn’t break let alone scratch.
Maybe it could also be like it had already fallen 2 times before while testing with transparent case so the third time it cracked... Like you need to hit a stone or coconut 2-3 times to break it!!!

Let me explain guys according to physics the soft case will absorb the force applied by the ground means it will not let it pass
Let me tell in detail when the hard case is dropped it will let the force pass to the mobile coz it's hard it will protect it self but not the phone
Where as soft one will take harder force by the ground to it but as its soft it will not damge the phone ☺️

My advise 100- 150 Wale tempered glass PE oleophobic coating missing hoti hai ho user experience mein bohot difference create karti USS coating se fingerprints Kam aate glass par aur water bhi nahi therta.

@ 6:22 , misguiding conclusion, according to me Tempered glass are better and YES THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BREAK. If screen protectors don't break, the impact might pass onto internal screen glass. Its no rocket science , a lot of protection gears etc., are made to break, just like a Helmet is supposed to absorb the impact of an accident and break .
I have had some bad experiences with cheap screen protectors, they don't absorb the impact, and internal screen gets damaged
my phone just broke yesterday and it fell at such a point where the display was just cracked a little bit just a small dot size crack and even it fell the screenguard didnot broke i will definately say that buy a screenguard whcih covers even the edges and use with a cover because if my phone had a cover on it then definately it would be safe

Spigen cases are really good
There are different reasons... Hardness and toughness is different... Hard things shatter easily... While tough things are bendy and are resistant to breakage... Plastic ones are not good because it doesn't serve the purpose... Less prone to break but that is the whole point to avoid... The guard should beak so that the glass stays safe... If the plastic doesn't break that means the force has been transferred to the main screen... In conclusion... Plastic can scratch easily but doesn't break... Glass is scratch resistant due to being hard but breaks easily... Hope this clears the confusion 😊♥️
