Thank you for such a comprehensive presentation of projects. There are many ideas, new to me, for ways to use the left-over yarns. Now I will have to make sure I have plan-over yarn, not just left-overs! Have a lovely week. Happy knitting!
Thank you, not only the suggestions you choose are very beautiful, but, I have to say, I often start watching RUclips knitting videos and give up, because the person goes on, and on, and on about her/his life before going into the meaty part, knitting proper. I really appreciate it that you go right to the topic, and I'll keep watching you for that as well.
Irina, it is so nice to see that you have remained to humble and grounded since your channel blew up during the MKAL, unlike your co-host Martin😂😂😂. JUST KIDDING!!!! I hope to see more collaborations with him💗💗.
That was a wonderful marathon of projects. Thank you, Irina, for so many wonderful ideas covering so many different projects. This was a great episode that I will be returning to often for new ideas.
Another brilliant episode. Thank you. My only negative (ish) comment on all these lovely ideas is that many of them focus on items for cold countries. Coming from Australia, it’d be great to have more items for those of us living mostly in hotter/milder climates.
I just had to tell you how much I enjoy your site!! You have some interesting guests and you ask them some questions that are very informative. It must be so difficult for you to get all this put together so we may just sit back and enjoy. I loved how some of the quests would answer your question of "what is the most important thing to learn in knitting" the same way BUT use completely different wording. You are awesome, have ordered several of the patterns on your 50 ideas for leftover yarns... Thank you!!!!
Hi Irina, thanks for putting together this extensive list with such a variety of items. I’ll have to add this video to my favorites for when I need ideas for what to do with the random hanks and scraps I have
Brilliant Irina, I loved all your choices. One of my favorites is the Tailwind shawl, I have made a few and you reminded me to make another one with my scraps.
Thank you for this excellent episode! I have ended up with an inspiring list of new to me project ideas. Clearly you spent huge amounts of time researching these patterns. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
What an amazing collection of patterns, I wish I were an octopus or at least possessed an ability to knit with my feet. Thank you so much for your hard work!
I’m seeing this video a year later and I’m so glad I watched it. Thank you for all of your time and money to put these videos out there. I appreciate you. 🧶 💕
I love this kind of podcast. Also when they go further in the patterns. All youre wipps is also a lot of fun😂 Or to see youre stash, that is also nice😅😅 Greetings from the netherlands ❤
So many great ideas here, thank you! Love the Triangulum blanket by Ellie Jones of the Craft House Magic podcast for a big scrappy/Advent project. Definitely going to try the Squircle socks and woven stars for gift knitting too. Happy days xx
Another great video! I'm a crocheter, but these ideas are extremely inspiring. Also, I say this with total respect: I love how you reminded me of Stefon from SNL 🙂
I am Loving your Art I seen your work during the interview with Stephen West your Shawls are beyond Lovely perfect looking knits and the gauge is WOW Lovely 💗
Wow! What a great list of ideas!!! I want to knit them all. Thank you so much ~ I know that was a lot of work. You are always so positive & your enthusiasm is very catchy!! Going to make a few mittens & hat ideas for gifts. Happy Holidays.
Congratulations and thank you for another superb episode! My Ravelry shopping cart is bursting at the seams now! LOL I've made some lovely knitted bags and pouches and here in Japan, another big thing is PET bottle covers - for when you purchase bottled water or tea on the go - the covers keep any condensation from getting onto other things in your bag, etc.
New to knitting and crochet....you gave us so much to choose from and was so thoughtful in describing each item and it's difficulty. Thank you so much. I know I will use this video as a resource for years to come! Happy Holidays!
Thank you for all these possibilities! I love your ideas and that we can make multiple things with the advent or scraps! Hopefully some crocheters can recommend some advent/scrappy patterns too.
What great pattern choices Irina. I love the way you divided up the categories. Most people who do these lists put wraps, shawls and scarfes together in a single grouping. You put each in their own category. What a great way for me to find the perfect pattern in the category that most interests me. The only thing that might make this list even better is to actually put the actual Ravelry links in the show notes. Thanks again for all the great things you do Irina.
So many great ideas! I really appreciate how much effort you must have put in to this episode, editing everything together. And, I'm so excited you included socks! Most people would just think of shawls for advents or scrap yarns but I think socks are great too:)
Thank you Irina for this fab episode. You have given me (a beginner) some wonderful ideas with some unusual patterns. BTW I have been meaning to tell you that you looked spectacular in your Westknits MKAL Grand Finale when you interviewed Stephen West. You always look beautiful. In particular you were wearing a black V-neck ruffled blouse and you looked amazing!
I do love it! If you know of specific organizations please email me to fiberchats@gmail.com. I interviewed soapsack, a great nonprofit. Thank you for suggestion!
Wow, love these suggestions! Several have gone in my Ravelry queue, favourites and library. Thanks for all the time you spent putting it together, hope you had some fun while you did this.💖
@@Fiberchats I'm smitten with the Safe at Home blanket, have never tried intarsia before. But I also love the Glam Garden Wrap, the teddy bears and the woven stars. I need more time to knit...
❤ thanks for another very interesting podcast! You are amazing, Irina! ❤ I will practice my brioche with some of your suggestions! 🙏👍 And concerning your question: I am interested in a series about yarns: wool breeds, other yarns, e.g. non-animal yarns and the items they are best used for. There are so many sheep breeds worldwide! But of course with enough details and depth - most knitters probably know the basics.
Thanks so much for all the great scrappy ideas, Irina! That must have taken you a LONG time to do all that research. Whew! I am going to print off the list for reference! 💕
What a great episode. such beautiful patterns it must have taken a lot of time to compile them all. I will definitely be revisiting this episode. My problem with using my scraps are I have mostly variegated yarns in a wild disparity of colors and weights so combining them into a single project would be jarring. I have seen someone who took her scrap balls of yarn in a variety of sizes and pinned them to a wreath form. That was beautiful. And since they are pinned on if you needed to use one later you could just pull it off. I may have to try that.
Thank you so much for putting this together! Always need something to use up the scraps. Another great scrappy blanket is The Beekeepers Quilt by Tiny Owl Knits. Also, the Sea Glass Sweater or Tee by Wool & Pine, super stash buster.
Great research Quite many ideas ! Thanks ! My head is spinning a bit, but I am looking forward to emptying my leftover yarn basket. Glad to know you will go for a Celtic Blanket by Lucy Hague. Yes, it is your kind of project !!! I think I will go for Marled Mania Leggings by Stephen West, because I need leggings and that should take care of quite a lot of leftover yarn. 😉 But I took note of all these great ideas, my daughter will certainly receive one or more of these Soho Scrunchie. Irina, you are so very generous, I can't imagine the time you put in searching for all these great projects. I am filled with joy thinking of all these great gifts to knit. A thousand thanks ! 🙏
