Alt trailer height button is to level out the truck when towing to help with that exact concern you are talking about. Also if you have access to a witech you can recalibrate the sensors to read a little lower and in effect lower the rear even more. Coming from a master Chrysler diesel tech.
I’ve had Fox Reservoir 2.0 shocks and after a year the Fox were leaking and no longer working. Now I have King 2.5 Reservoir shocks. I wish I would have bought the Kings from the beginning. Night and day difference compared to the Fox, even when the Fox shocks were new. Huge plus is that the Kings can be rebuilt at home.
I have a Friend at a spring shop, asked about remote res. Shocks, said Bilstein, I'm sure king is also a great choice, but they have a pile of blown fox shocks, looked through there pile, inspected some of the carnage, can confirm.
I reached out to Thuren in regards to the reservoirs. And they sent over examples of how they half “loop” the reservoir around the shock. In that case the hose cleans up and not so much slack. Also informed me they tend to mount them with the shock body down. So I just went with the recommendations. Here for the content and knowledge 👍🏽
Definitely shot caller level for sure! She's looking good to go with gonna perform good. Can you provide a link or something to that cleaner? That stuff looks awesome!
Do not use the longer shocks. Just had to fix a truck like yours with air suspension rear. The shocks are use to limit the suspension droop and this guy had high dollar off-road shocks that had longer travel and it cause the airbag to pop out of the upper cup and then sat against the exhaust and busted the airbag. It also ripped out the ride height sensor because the axle dropped to far down. Customer ended up paying a pretty penny to fix it. If you do want to use longer shock I would highly recommend you use limiting straps that are the length of the factory shocks. Edit. It might not be a problem on yours because it’s a 3500 with leaf springs and this one was a 2500 air suspension only.
I'm so glad my '17 Limited has paint match bumpers and the RAM letters are just bare black plastic, not a fan of chrome. Still probably just going to sell it lol
Must be all the testing Banks did before they, pretty much copied their design. Wonder why? Sure doesn't look like the flat back design they have had for the last 15 years.
There was a solid 4 minutes of products California is going to ban after seeing this video!! “ so this stuff adheres to basically everything and it works great” CA had a heart attack
Let’s work together on figuring out to how to level these trucks. I have a 18 SRW with the bags and auto level. I was either thinking of using AlfaOBD to program new levels, or take the spacers out and put them on top of the leaf pack, then we still have to address the sensors. JScan can set values also but I still want to be able to use “alt height”. If you go into setting and put the truck in transport mode, and let the air out of the bags it sits beautiful.
Different topic I know, but I've got a rather strange issue going on with a 6.7 cummins and a turbo. Do you have a buisness email I could present this issue to you on. It would be a fairly long email. Or phone conversation
After letting the truck warm up enough to defrost all the windows, I can drive about 10-15 minutes. Suddenly, the tone of the exhaust will change. When I look at the exhaust manifold pressure on my edge cts3, it will be reading a negative number(-10 to -6) at this point and the very high boost for the situation. No load just cruising down the road. Ease it back to the house, let it sit and cool all the way back down; does the same thing when I try to drive it again. When it does this, I can hear the exhaust break making some noise still, but not much braking when I am slowing down. Also, when coasting to a stop, it seems like the turbo is making a whining bearing sounds.
Never really seen any benefit to a diff cover. Banks actually backed his claims with a dyno and temp gauges. I am still trolling Gail to dyno test his own horn rather than the air density sale pitch. One day I might be the one. Dark Iron Diesel will probably get to it before I do.
Dyno tests have been done by third parties before on the intake and it lost power on the bottom end and barely made anything on the top end. Banks then went on to intimidate said third party into taking the video down.
@@ThanksHero The horn is useful. It has a bunch of threaded ports. I bought it cuz it had pretapped ports, and it looked nicer than the stock one. I use 3 of those ports. I am a nobody. If I ever get easy access a to a dyno I will surely test a few products. The first one will be that horn. I expect it to be minimal if at all just as you stated.
Gale Banks is shaking his head so hard right now
You know who would definitely not approve! 😂 Keep up the awesome work. Love your channel.

I thought I heard Meyer admit the Banks diff cover does actually cool well. 😮

Very clean, badass tow rig. Keep it up!!
Love it Josh!! Tow pig is coming along. I need the reservoir styled shocks. I’m rocking the 2.0s on a thuren kit!

Carli suspension makes a suspension for those factory air rams.
If we don't see you in the next two days. Merry Christmas to the McCormack family!

Yes sir!!!!
did you sell 6 liter
Push button for alt trailer height Also leave it when trailer is off hitch and rides much smoother.
I had my chrome bumpers color matched and didn't quite work out where'd you get yours
Got them from a local shop in Moreno Valley
👍💪
Gale banks is gonna come slap you in the face for not watching his diff cover video
Aww man you should not have claimed that’s the best
Banks makes hands down the best diff cover.
lol

2nd gen swap it
@bigmurph1447 I had considered it but I don't want to lose the exhaust brake or figuring out how to integrate one after the swap

I like the letters and black bumper chrome was to much
you got a lot to learn about diff covers and fluid dynamics and air ration you were better of with factory cover
Can I take your old cover off your hands?

@@BentonL IMO it's just oversized for a stock truck.
