Popping in mid-video to say that my mum totally bought Anna to modernize her. She's never seen Frozen, but she loved the doll so much and has renamed her Esmee and has a whole outdoorsy backstory for her. So it's definitely a possibility for people to buy them and immediately change who they are!

@DisBlaine I really enjoyed your overall review and look at the dolls, and loved that you made suggestions about how people could make their own without spending the LE price. It was very thoughtful of you to offer potential alternatives for people who want them for their kids, or even themselves but don't want to pay that price. I haven't been drawn to any of the Disney dolls yet (I'm not really a Disney Adult, though I do have some of the Designer collection dolls), but if they put out a good Moana or Mulan, I may be tempted. And also would not keep them as their Disney characters, lol.
@@eliseelliot I used to be so deep into Disney collecting I was worried to buy any of the princesses. But then I love the dolls, so I justified the purchases by redressing them-so I mayyyyy do that with Anna and Elsa one day. They’re both so unique-but expensive! So I can understand why parents might be upset these didn’t get play line versions.

@@paulettepalmer4860 awww I didn’t realize it sold out on gap as well. I guess at that price it wasn’t going to last. Cinderella has really grown on me since adjusting to her skin tone. There’s a special quality about her.

My girls were 2 and 5 when Frozen came out; now teens. They were soo excited about the LE Frozen dolls. I think there's now adult collectors that have passed on the love to their kids. Its pretty cool imho

I just got my Anna and Elsa dolls too and absolutely love them.
I actually have all the special edition dolls and I wouldn’t even think of changing them into regular clothing, but to see someone else do it is so great.

@@bettygarrido7621 so glad you love them too!! And I figured many collectors wouldn’t want to change theirs, so I wanted to share in case they were curious. I’m trying not to keep my dolls sealed in boxes. I want to enjoy them more than I did my 17” Disney store dolls.
I’m glad you liked seeing them freed! I remember what it was like when I kept all my dolls untouched (still can’t open my non-AG Tiana dolls lol

I put them on stands and display them on my shelves. I love all of them so much.

Now the special edition ones I do keep them in their outfits for sure. But definitely displayed in my doll room.

I've been dressing up my American Girls as Disney Princesses for a long time - I was thrilled when they did the Disney collaboration. I always look forward to your new videos. Personally I can see why Anna is selling out quicker, she really does seem so much more versatile, the amount of Annas I have seen instantly become Anne Shirley since she came out is mind blowing to me, mostly because it was mine and my youngest sister's immediate reaction and thought when we saw her lol
I love how you recreated her outfit from Wreck-it Ralph perfectly! Elsa is stunning as well, I kinda thought her hair would have been more platinum, but I guess she is a pretty normal blonde in the movie thought.
Also, with the mention of Ralph Breaks the Internet, I had a little vision of a Wellie Wisher Vanellope, and I think I've found my next custom doll idea!

And... yeeeeah... I have to admit that one of my first thoughts when I got back into dolls was 'I need an Anne' lmfao my mum had a pen pal when I was a kid who introduced us to Anne of Green Gables, so I grew up on the Kevin Sullivan adaptions, the books are awesome too, but those movies are perfect if you like historical fiction lol
And that's right, my bad lmfaooo, I really want a handful of custom Wellies but finding the right pieces in their size is so hard that unless you're a tailor or seamstress it's gonna be a process, so that's mostly how my little doll collection stays so little lol

I love your creativity creating different versions of Anna and Elsa. It looked like you had so much fun putting those together. I think I liked Anna best in her casual look and Elsa best as an Elsa Princess. On camera Elsa looks the palest to me. Brianne is very cute. I love her bunny shoes. 🥰

Yeah on the monitor I could see how pale Elsa was, she practically glowed. She has some rosy undertones to calm her look. I’ve pulled Brianna out of storage to see if she grows on me lol

I managed to snag the Gap outfit on the clearance sale as well. Just put it in a doll today.

Yup, I missed out on the Gap outfit, but I'm not worried. Look forward to other future collaborations that AG may have. I do like the causal wear on Anna from the Wreck it Ralph movie. She looks like a whole new doll from the AG line with her pigtails.

I have the 12 inch wreck it Ralph princesses. I would use Blair or Sage for Anna and Repunzle for Elsa. Other people who unboxed Elsa talked about the short pieces in the wig. I want that Maplelea outfit it is cute. I love the Gap outfit I got it from gap originally then got another one on sale. Another great video.

Ohhhh So glad you got them! Ordered Anna first (without the hesitation), ordered Elsa (with some hesitation) and to be completely honest, do I even say that I love Elsa slightly more?? The combo of very light skin with the very light hair and bright lip is just gorgeous in person. It blends well and a bit better than Anna's fair skin/hair in my opinion. But absolutely love both of them. Elsa sure was a surprise to me though. She's a sparkly winter beauty.❤
@@Kari-G oh I agree-Elsa is definitely more majestic. But then Anna has more everyday appeal. It would be impossible to split them up, so I immediately added both to cart lol!
And I think you might be right about Anna’s complexion against her hair. But it’s always nice to get a unique skin tone!

I think they have the hook an loop tape on the back of the cape so the doll can sit with the cape on and you can see it on the sides as she sits. Just a thought. Just love your ideas. Thank you for sharing. I have ordered the dolls and I thought to use Blair, and that Silver Spender doll from last year as Anna. I thought she looked like the "Frozen" version. I also have the doll you used as a substitute also. Just an idea for me to try when they come in. Oh and my 108 is going into the Maplelea Native costume I purchased at their recent sale.
@@user-yt6bu6st9j when I reboxed Anna, I realized I needed to open the back of the cape to get her arms fastened to the bindings. If that’s why it’s velcroed, that is such a strange design!

I was tempted to use 108 as the Stoney nakoda doll- I originally tried it on 82. It’s such a gorgeous outfit 🥰

Love your videos! Anna is my fave, love her outfit. I am also in Ontario and curious why you get them shipped to the US are you charged customs? I'm a newer collector but I didn't think we got charged customs because Mattel is here. I haven't purchased alot of dolls, mainly accessories so I have never been charged.

The truth is there’s a risk when you cross back into Canada that you’ll pay customs - it all depends on the agent you get. I’ve been lucky most of the time, this time included. And when I have paid customs, they charge tax on the total AFTER the American tax.
I make sure to print off my email confirmations to show at the border if they ask. I’m always so nervous lol.

When you get the limited edition dolls don't show your whole certificate because the scam artists steal them and use it to scam others.

What does a prototype dress mean? I’ve never seen this outfit before on Ella. I meant to ask last video and forgot.
Ohhhhh I didn’t consider people don’t know Maryellen had at least 3 other dresses designed for her meet outfit. I don’t know if someone handmade all the outfits that floated around the secondary market or if a company did it, but this is a common “prototype” outfit to find.

@@AnniePresley1533 it seems like they had a batch of them early. Elsa looks to be available on the site currently but Anna says back ordered until sept 6. I was surprised by the shipping notice too!
