First of all we are a couple of very senior Canadian hikers. We loved you two in this video. You're both naturals in front of the camera...keep it up and see you again soon
Awesome Hike locations, Amazing WaterFalls, cool Wildlife. It's great you were able to book an alternate Flight for the Wedding Have Fun and take Care. Gret Adventures
Thank you so much! The rain was challenging to film in, but made for some beautiful experiences too! Hope everything is going well in your beautiful country! Would love to visit again soon. :)
Coatis are very cute and friendly, didn't expect that. Sorry for the snakes you stepped on though 😅 Great hikes, guys, really enjoyed the whole thing. Maybe that bridge would have been to much for me, but great views.
They’re soooo cute! They’re related to raccoons so I didn’t expect it either! Lol. Luckily we only almost stepped on the snakes… might be missing a foot now if we actually stepped on them. 😂 The bridges definitely are a challenge if you’re afraid of heights! Lol
Haven't watched the whole vlog yet but just wanted to let you know (in case you didn't find out!) at about 1min 30 - the noise you thought was a toucan is actually a Montezuma oropendola! One of my favourite bird noises from my travels to Costa Rica too :)
What a beautiful experience! I'm costarican and I feel so happy to see how you enjoyed my country! You're always more than welcome, I want to see more about your adventure here, I actually didn't know about the forest you're going, can't wait to see it!
Aww thank you so much for watching! We loved Costa Rica! Can’t wait to go back! My top destination there now is Corcovado, so many people recommended it! Hope you make it out to the spots you didn’t know about! Thanks again for watching!! If you want to keep in touch we’d love to say hi next time we visit 😃
Love the trails you visited. We will definitely add them to our Costa Rica must visit list. We were there twice this year and i don't doubt we will go back soon :)
Hola ..excelente tu vídeo.me encantó..pura vida por visitarnos..en una próxima ves te recomiendo los hoteles mágicos y sus atardeceres de las zonas de los Santos..bendiciones ..
I can’t wait to go there someday! Last year I went to Acapulco, Mexico and I knew I had a chance of spotting coatis! I spotted two on the last day of our trip I was so happy because they’re my 2nd favorite animal! 😀
The last video was good so just started immediately watching this one. Also, Kuwati (my best guess at spelling it) sounds like a little 5 year old boy trying to say “Karate”
Just realized I misread what you said, I thought you said “my 5 year old little boy”… and I was like awwww, but I realized you said “a”… still cute to imagine 😂
@@IfWeGoTo yeah I was trying to see if i needed binoculars, how far the range would be. 8x the magnification instead of 10x would make more sense here, as the environment of the trees and plants is way too close here! 👣
Glad you enjoyed it! We loved all of the trails we did in CR! :) Do you know if any videos showing the more crazy ones?? We weren’t ready for anything too intense because we don’t know the wildlife/conditions in CR too well, but maybe one day we’ll take something on.. but maybe not too insane! 😂
The Coatis are so cute but I am not about those spiders 😬 The national parks looks so good I didn’t even know anteaters could climb trees haha. All of the treks look really beautiful even with all the rains. Xx
Hahaha, I love it… maybe it keeps the rust from worsening? I mean I know keeping stuff up in environments like that is rough, We love animals! Both did biology in college.. going out to find the local fauna is probably our fav thing to do!
Thank you so much!! Really happy you enjoyed it! Tirimbina was definitely our favorite of the bunch!! Parque Nacional Juan Castro Blanco was also really cool because it’s higher altitude!! And Arenal is worth a trip because it’s so close!
i went on the same hike in saraquipi. it was the night tour instead though, which i highly recommend because you get to see the animals and bugs that only come out at night time. it’s a little scary but you have a tour guide
We didn’t do the crossing ourselves but we actually met someone there who’d been doing it back and forth a lot for their business, which makes me think it’s probably open! Have you tried doing a google search in Spanish? I find that helps a lot since information isn’t as comprehensive in English google! :)
Great vlog! We were there just last year and didn’t see half of that. We found the wildlife pretty hard to spot as well, but when you do see the coati, ant eaters, and the sloths, it is magical! Is it just me or did the entry prices to the parks seem expensive? Hopefully the fees get reinvested into the nature! Also, the monkey bar crossing looked fun haha!
How long did you get to do for?? That was really our biggest gripe for Costa Rica, everything was for charge - even the nature, it was on the smaller end, and the prices definitely add up. It was expensive without a doubt. It does aid in the restoration and upkeep of the forest though, without it may be ripped up and turn it into farm land.
We went for a week during Thanksgiving break last year. This was before we were traveling full time, and we spent a lot of time at the resort 😂 We really liked seeing the crocodiles on the Tarcoles River bridge. And the iguanas everywhere was fun too!! We spent one day in Sanjose (because I was curious), and to say the least, it made me very grateful for what I had in the U.S.
Honestly the bugs were BAD there. My skin was crawling by the time we left, but if you stay in the higher altitude or beach areas it should be better. We stayed in the tropical lowland.. hot, moist, and prime for insects of all sorts.
I think the best time to go is when it is not the rainy season, which depends on if you are visiting the caribbean or the pacific coast!! I think April/May is good for the Pacific side!! Bring waterproofing just in case though!! :)
It depends on the park! Some did accept card, but I wouldn’t rely on the internet/machines always connecting. Would definitely recommend stopping by an ATM!
It is a Vlog, I’m not sure what to say. It is about Costa Rica, but it’s about our experience with it too. 😬 Maybe a documentary style would better cover it in a way you’d like?

Looks like a hikers paradise. Love the straw hats. I hope to get there one day. The eternal rainforest looks amazing.
It definitely is a beautiful country!! I hope you get to go too! :) The hat style is called a “Panama hat” if you ever want one! Lol
Such beautiful video.
The zoo look cool.
My words are less to describe your video.
Thanks for sharing !!!
Thank you so much!!

Great video. Really good to see all the first-hand video from the trails.

Wow! That view of the waterfall at 15:14 is breathtaking. Looking forward to Switzerland🙂

hello friends! Just FYI - the noise around 1:35 is not a toucan. It is a Montezuma Oropendula! :)
Amazing!!! Thank you, we really appreciate getting a proper animal ID!! 😃
Loved the coverage of hiking at a more “amateur” level. Some of the hikes out there are crazy

Very beautiful forest
Thank you!! Costa Rica has stunning nature. 🥰
Great job! Nice video quality. What type of camera did you guys use?
Thank you!l so much!! For this video we used a mix of the canon 80d, a dji pocket 2, and a GoPro 5!
Nice
Thank you so much!!

We’re in Panama hoping to travel the land border to Costa Rica do you know if it is open guys ?

What a great hike. Love to see all this stuff. How bad are the bugs?🐸

There's waterfalls in that road all year round not only when it rains
Oh, good to know!! Thank you! :D
Hi, did these reserves & national parks only accept cash or were you able to pay with card?
It depends on the park! Some did accept card, but I wouldn’t rely on the internet/machines always connecting. Would definitely recommend stopping by an ATM!
Costa rica is famous for frogs 🐸 I guess. Even in their airport there’s a huge frog art I saw.
I think they are, especially their red eye tree frog. I think frogs were the most common animal we saw there, great habitat for them!
Hope your well
We are great, thank you! Hope you're doing well also!

Aww thank you!! We will definitely do that next time, the rain isn’t the best for finding wildlife! Hahaha
