Israeli soldiers raid the Da’na home at night and wake the family.

- On 14 May 2018 at 11:40 P.M., soldiers entered the home of the extended Da’na family (40 people in total) in the al-Hariqah neighborhood of Hebron and woke the inhabitants. They demanded the children be woken and claimed to be seeking stone-throwers. The soldiers left at midnight. About an hour later, another force arrived and took up a position on the roof until 6:00 A.M. With the settlement of Kiryat Arba nearby, the Da’na family and other area residents suffer frequent harassment by settlers and security forces.

في يوم الإثنين، الموافق 14.5.2018، عند الساعة 23:40، اقتحم جنود بناية سكنيّة تعود لعائلة دعنا، في حارة الحريقة في الخليل، وأيقظوا السكّان. أمر الجنود أفراد الأسرة بإيقاظ أولادهم بحجّة البحث عن راشقي حجارة. تسكن في البناية المذكورة ستّ أسَر مكوّنة من 40 شخصًا. عند منتصف اللّيل غادر الجنود البناية؛ ولكن بعد نحو السّاعة جاءت قوّة عسكرية أخرى واستولت على سطح البناية، وبقيت حتى الساعة 6:00 صباحًا. في جوار حارة الحريقة أقيمت مستوطنة "كريات أربع"؛ وجرّاء ذلك، يعاني أبناء عائلة دعنا التنكيل المتكرّرعلى يد المستوطنين وعناصر قوّات الأمن، مثلهم في ذلك مثل بقيّة أهالي الحارة.

You act violently and then go back to your home with your wife and kids. What do you expect? 1. The IDF is built on guys like me, who want to go back to their homes and be with their families but are forced to serve just to have safety. No soldier in the IDF that is sain enough wants any conflict, non-want to wake up in the middle of the night and work countless hours just to see people mad because you are ruining their sleep and lives. the reason soldiers do what they do is because like the Palestinian side, almost all Israeli citizens know a person harmed or killed in terror attacks/war. Soldiers know that if they don't wake up to find the weapons and terrorists (emphasizing terrorists and not Arabs - terror is the target, not the Arabs), someone will die - also Israeli Arabs die in terror attacks, and we protect them too! I've had Arab friends serve in the IDF and they know the reason why the military fights, why it stands all the time and trains all the time, because if not, the terror will rise and consume.
2. It starts with stone throwing, then Molotovs, and finds it's end with shootings which is not uncommon in the Arab society, from both sides. Hate is taught and unfortunately the Palestinians are teaching their kids the worst about Israel, they praise their terrorists and build them housings and pay them well... It may look bad because b'tselem is filming only the "worst" moments there are.
Peace will come only from one thing and one thing only, communication. Not politics, not the heavy forces Israel have, not from the terror attacks. Just pure communication. There is no reason why not. I have really good Arab friends in Jafa and Haifa, I grew up with 3 Arabs in my class and one is a famous Israeli singer today which my friends and I adore. This is based on hatred passed through the elderly from both sides and we, the majority never stand against said hatred and the younger generations face the consequences their parents leave them... I hope for peace every day because I love the colours and the adversity Israel has and all of its religions. Both sides are scared. Both sides fight to defend themselves. But the real question is, why is it necessary? One day there will be peace when the right people step up to stop this madness.

I am sure the soldiers did'nt plan on waking up the family, as you can see in the video the only reason they came into the house is because someone threw rocks at them and they were looking for the thrower. you can clearly see the calmness of the soldiers and they even said sorry and goodbye. no violent act was commited and the main problem with the video was the language barrier which cause misunderstanding.
