Hello, I have a problem on VL Jobs : we have the Veeam server on DMZ and the prod network on another vLan. Which network I have to choose for the VirtualLab Proxy IP ? Thankyou 😊
Hello! Make sure the Veeam Server is able to reach the vlab directly or set up routing rules to the desired network for the vlab. The production network is not relevant as it gets masqueraded by the vLab, so just make sure Veeam can talk to the vLab.
hey guys! nice video, keep em coming! btw, i found the setup of how to use internet through a proxy for windows at www.veeam.com/kb1165 however i cannot see any directions on how to configure it for Linux. Any help would be greatly appreciated ^^
+Joey Jojo Thanks for the question. Well, the idea is that wouldn't want to go that far and keep the lab running and configuring internet. What would be the reason why you think about it?
***** thanks for getting back to me Veeam! well I want to test installing a package. Also testing updates before committing changes so having temporary internet would be very useful. I know there is a way but I haven't been able to configure it yet.
+Joey Jojo gotcha. What if you configure proxy appliance with 80 port for HTTP? Assuming that apt-get or any package manager is going to connect to repositories by resolving their names via DNS and then receiving updates via HTTP, using 80 port by default.
***** I am not 100% how to do that but I did try export HTTP_PROXY=GatewayIP:8080 I'm also confused, is this suppose to be the Gateway IP or the Virtual Lab Proxy IP? Thanks a lot
Can you do this again but using the latest version/build of backup and replication?
