We who love Brian owe Marilyn much more than we can ever tell her. I can't imagine how quickly things ,ight have spun out of control were it not for Mar's untiring efforts to keep their ship afloat. Of course the end was inevitable, but Marilyn, thank you SO much for helping bring us all such incredible music and making it possibly for Brian to be so productive.
the host and callers were really trying to pull some drama out of her but she was too sweet to fall for it. seems like one of the few genuinely good people in the story of the beach boys
@@davecarsley8773 marriages are legal partnerships that grant certain financial rights and I don't blame her for trying to get a few extra million out of what was obviously a stressful marriage
Going on what I've seen and heard and extensive reading of anything Beach Boys , I think Marilyn is a fine person with great heart . Like the Everly Bros. song "so sad to watch good love go bad" . In '64 I was a freshman at Bellflower H.S. and they performed at a Friday nighters dance in our gymnasium . 2 cars I remember parked by the gym were a Pontiac Grand Prix ( Carl's) and Love's Jag XKE .
Her later project American Spring's album is very good too, and very pioneering too, Pop and Electronica together was a very new idea in the early 70's.
I never thought of Brian Wilson as someone who would attract groupies, and that he would be so attractive that Marilyn would have to fight women off of him. That aspect never crossed my mind when thinking about him. I personally think Brian's good looking, but what I know--I'm a man🤣🤣
Taking care of Brian I believe was as easy as it seemed. His second wife is deceased and I never believed it was a conventional arrangement, just an arrangement to keep the cash flow and then add kids. Somewhere he did an interview and he was not happy with the arrangement in any way. I bet that interview was scrubbed so now everything is lollipops and kisses…
Thanks for posting this! Tom Snyder always kind of made me anxious. There's nothing relaxing about his interviews. But Marilyn sounded great.
"LONG LIVE BRIAN WILSON"❣️
Great 👍 Interview with Marilyn (Rovell) Wilson in 1991. Very nice lady that skillfully answered all questions.
Thats nice. I enjoyed listening to this.
I love Marilyn. She raised two wonderful girls.

@@dububro exactly.
@@davecarsley8773 She knows Brian is being taken advantage of by the powers that be. Again.
@@davecarsley8773 LOL. It's amazing. She got her money when they divorced. Now he sells the rights to his songs and she sues for half.
American Spring was fantastic album. "Sweet Mountain" was my favorite.
Thank You Marilyn
Wow what a classy lady - amazing responses and seems to be very truthful too.
What a lovely person Marilyn is.
Wow what a sweetheart. And so honest. I see why Brian fell in love with her.
She seems like a classy lady.
I miss Tom Snyder. Dan Ackroyd does a great impersonation of Tom.
Yes, he does !

If John Lennon and Paul McCartney were offered groupies one would have to imagine Brian Wilson would.
@@MistaTofMaine John and Paul were more attractive to women. If Brian did attract any groupies, they would just be going through him to get to Dennis

Typo…was not as easy as it seemed.
lol jfc. make Marilyn Wilson the white house press secretary.

Gee, how come she didn't mention the final trigger for the divorce? Brian finding her in bed with Rocky Pamplin, one of the bodyguards.
