I personally can't wrap my head around why anyone would prefer an small to medium SUV over a minivan. There is just nothing more practical and convenient than a minivan.
Just an FYI, It is not replacing the Dodge Grand Caravan, The Caravan will be around until 2018. The Chrysler Pacifica replaces the Chrysler Town and Country. www.autonews.com/article/20150622/OEM04/306229983/dodge-plans-to-produce-17-minivan
You would think that before the dealer turned the Pacifica over to you to review they would have at least run it through the car wash and treated the tires to make them shine.
Great review Cameron, but for my request, if you can find a Lincoln dealership in California, then would you please do a review on a 2016 Lincoln Navigator L 4WD in Black Velvet and with dual headrest DVD entertainment systems?
Chrysler now needs to: 1. Take the "Town and Country" moniker and put it (where it truly belonged) on a full sized Durango/Grand Cherokee type SUV. 2. Take the 200 and make it a two door, two seater sportster with a powerful engine, call it the 100. 3. Take the 300 and make it a two door sportster and call it the Crossfire. 4. Take the Dodge Journey and make it a second SUV model for Chrysler. and call it the Aspen. .
+Mark Keller So Chrysler would have 2 Two seater sports cars and Two similar sized Suvs and NO family cars except a minivan to sell. Sounds like you want them to be removed from the list of available nameplates left.
wiibaron Oh yeah, similar sized is relative when you can extend the wheelbase of the Town and Country or decrease the wheelbase of the Journey/Aspen. But that would have been too obvious.
+Mark Keller OK. One more issue: Take a 200, make it into a 2 door[been done before, easily] with a faster engine and call the more expensive, same sized new model a lower number than the 4 door? How about they take that new Compass that is nearly ready and make it a Chrysler instead? Jeep doesn't need a another smallish 5 seat model, they have 4 already. T&C/Pacifica SUV that is talked about by Sergio should be coming next year as the Caravan is phased out and they will have the Production room for it at Windsor. I never cared for the Aspen name being a Chrysler as it doesn't sound good together. How about Chrysler 400.
why can't they make suv body with sliding mini van doors. there is a Ford explorer handicap variant that looks so sexy with a sliding / mini fold out door
I love the new design more than I thought I was going to, but RIP to the Town & Country and Grand Caravan... :( I see your Jeep also makes a cameo in the background of the video. (:
+Camerons Car Reviews The rear view mirror is standard as an auto dimming one not manual as you stated. Why not show the new updated easier to use stow and go seats? I was interested in seeing how well and easier they are over the previous years with them. Plus saying the vacuum cleaner offered as an option copied from Honda is like saying someone copied the sun roofs offered. Or it could be argued that other manufacturers copied their mini vans from Chrysler? It may seem that I am nit-picking but if your doing a review you should get it right. Plus I have test driven the Honda and Toyota brands of mini vans and the new Chrysler Pacifica is just as good riding and handling if not better. It is also much quieter like you said also. But Honda has a new mini van coming out in the future so it will be interesting how much as you stated one company copies another. On that note manufacturers aren't coping each other but giving their customers what they want or like. It needs all wheel drive.
The Chrysler's vacuum is actually a better brand of vacuum, it is supposed to suck a lot more than the Honda! Location is the best as well! Also, all-wheel-drive is impossible with the Pacifica unless Stow n' Go is removed, because the 2nd row bins do not allow room for the AWD drivetrain hump :(
meh, I'm not seeing the 'huge improvement" in dashboard design over my 2012 T&C. The shift wheel takes up a large portion of the dash, and you have to reach further to get to the HVAC controls. Old school shift lever in the last gen worked fine and was up out of the way. Outside looks good though.

Finally! The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica review is here! I've been waiting for this for so long!!! Thanks for posting this!
I now own a 2019 Pacifica Touring Plus. My wife, kids, and I all love it!
You would think that before the dealer turned the Pacifica over to you to review they would have at least run it through the car wash and treated the tires to make them shine.
It looks fine. Stop being picky.
Philip Marshall I agree
Cameron... love your reviews, very straight forward although sometimes you repeat information. Anyhow, question for you. Pacifica or Sedona?
Great review Cameron, but for my request, if you can find a Lincoln dealership in California, then would you please do a review on a 2016 Lincoln Navigator L 4WD in Black Velvet and with dual headrest DVD entertainment systems?
+Matthew's Car Corner Sure! Ill try to find one for you
How does the wifi hotspot work when offered in a car? Who do you end up paying for the service? Your own cellphone provider? Chrysler? Someone else?
My gmc Acadia offered WiFi through onstar
Great Review C! Keep them coming

wiibaron No, I should have been clearer in my original post.
The 200 and 300 would continue as sedans, BUT they should offer the variants I suggested.

I like how you're thinking! There's hope for Chrysler yet to step it up if they would only listen.

so kids and people don't bang the suv doors against the next car over
Great video question is it true that if the battery dies to the car cannot shift into other gears
48 psi on the tires? Somebody messed up really bad.
Never demo a dirty vehicle!
All cars get dirty. It's called life.
It's called 'presentation of a new vehicle'!
Sell much?

+Vincent D Hahah yes it does!

Don't worry Grand Caravan is still being made
What is above the driver and passengers head?
Transmission temperature, seriously?? Oh boy..

That 3" knob takes up too much space? The HVAC controls are in the screen too. Grow some human arms and you'll be OK...
wiibaron problem is people do not like change. Even if the new product is an improvement.
Is this the touring L or touring L plus?
L
The grand caravan was still made
who saw this van on disney channel especially the dial transmission
They still make grand caravan
those headlight do look like the chrysler 300
you mean 200?
+Michael Earll yeah my bad
Roll away rotary selector?
A white vehicle looks splendid, but too much high maintenance for cleaning.
2:21 loud seats
so is it going to come in 4WD next year
+ricky stewart U mean AWD? Possibly
+Camerons Car Reviews This Chrysler does have 9-Speed Dial-type Automatic Transmission with Lower Gear Selection.
+Earl Matthew Avila sounds good
