The controller realizes what's going to happen, says "meh, I want to see a sevenfold Falcon Punch, I'll allow it" and refuses to do anything anymore. If you were a controller, would you want your player to die in the most awesome way possible? I sure would. Besides, if I were a controller, the player would have probably been pushing my buttons. Some of the inevitable deaths weren't actually inevitable. The combo cannon could've been avoided if Meta Knight simply hadn't run straight into it. The Five-sword slash can be avoided by staying in the air for the first two, air dodging for the second pair, and for the last one, dodging at the last second or air dodging.And with Aurora Beam, Marth deserved that for just standing there.

My personal favorite is using Gannondorf's down special to rebound my opponent off the ground for death at the top of the screen. They feel it in their soul.

Okay, I had the most ridiculous death happen to last week. My friends and I were playing a customs battle with Equipment on final destination. I was using my max attack Ganondorf and I started charging up a foreward smash. One of them stupidly stepped in front of me and decided to shield. I instantly shattered their shield, but I was so powerful, the recoil from the break sent me all the way from the center of final destination to the blast line. I'm still waiting on my friend to share the replay with me so I can upload it, but god damn that was the best worst bullshit moment I ever had.
um.... what about when crazy hand smashes you into the ground and then master hand uses his weird card dealing to lift you out of the stage? missed that one. pretty important one too.
