@@patatayt1919the source is that Canto 1 2 and 3 only represent the beginning of their stories, because in Demian Kromer is just a bully for the first 40 pages and gets wiped away by Demian and for Rodion (Raskolnikov) she hasn’t faced retribution and Gregor still hasn’t fully morphed and accepted his futility of his life
Also Dante’s Divine Comedy is much longer than 12 Canto’s, since we’re only in the Inferno part of the Divine Comedy, there’s still Purgatorio and Paradiso, and Purgatorio is the part where Virgil has to leave Dante since he’s not permitted into Heaven, so he walks with Dante as far as he can to make sure he isn’t frightened of the journey and departs before they can finish Purgatorio

y'know i've never thought about the lyrics of "ripples" "a well" and "a stone" meant, but it would actually make sense referring to carmen, cuz i had no idea what the grudge had to do with faust. either way i'm glad i finally found the full version of this cuz that segment you put in the review video was gorgeous.
I think it's meant to represent how Kromer was the stone that was tossed into Sinclair's well, causing a ripple effect that would cause his entire life to fall apart.
