I've been introducing buckethead to people I know. It amazes me that's all people I know noun have no clue who buckethead is. Once I showed them couple of song I knew then his legacy has been pass on.

Dude I hate to say it but I cancelled mine after waiting forever. They are crazy expensive to ship to Canada and it wasn’t that good of an album so after waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting I said f this.
Not really feeling this one, the 3rd track is cool, but not really big fan of this pike. Obviously he going thru something in his life thats making him do this style without the amazing solos he does, but hey when u have done 302 pikes like he has u can do what ever the fuck u want. Im just glad he still making new music.
I find myself going back to his older stuff from over 4 years ago.....because he hasn't released anything meaningful since way before the Pandemic began.
I hate to speak negatively of BH's music as I'm very grateful for the many many great works he's done but the lead guitar over the rhythm tracks are the 'vocals' for me, where the true emotion lies. I find it hard to feel much connection or emotion in 30 minutes of rhythm guitar. I really wonder why the Pikes of the last couple years have been following this style.

Something seems off though as he's playing totally different than the way he did back in 2018 just because I critique doesn't mean I don't appreciate. He's not done any soloing which is what he's known for....some of the stuff that he's released is good but most of it is disappointing...I've listened to everything he's released over the last three years....there's no fire in it...its pretty hum drum!
I added pike 301 to my buckethead playlist. Feels like a couple years since that’s happened. It is hard to witness these recent efforts. He could write these things in his sleep. Anyway you guys are allowed to have an opinion. We obviously love the bucket. And the pikes we don’t like won’t change the fact that we love the ones we love and what an awesome musician and guy he is. Still it is hard to understand. Just because there was a time when buckethead seemed to be the only artist in the world who was interested in making intricate and artistic music. Anyway. 2020's pike 284 'Through the Looking Garden' and 2021's pike 301 'The Chariot of Saturn' are out this world. Pikes 296 and 301 show examples of a new approach in BH's style, which is quite subtle. My point is that his sound is in constant evolution yet the quality of his releases still remains there IMHO
Meh, More chunky riffs....he hasn't released anything blazing in over 2 years already....everything is just "safe" seemingly he's lost his way.....and I'm a huge BH fan but lately his pikes and albums are lack lustre!
@@loganross6436 Honestly that's a cop out.....Ritchie falkner almost died on stage 2 months ago and is playing great.....playing fast has nothing to do with his heart condition
@@omniken66 ok but after his parents died hes been really paranoid about dying so Im sure he's just trying not to stroke out on us bc I remember hearing in an interview he said that there was certain shows he had to stop. Playing bc of his heart rate and I think he said it had something to do with him playing fast you could probably find its the only interview with buckethead and he talks about his heart condition

"Playing fast" isn't the only thing that matters in music.
