The blue woman in the video depicts the goddess Kali. As far as I understands she also represents righteous fury and that IS the tone of the song.

Yes she is goddess Kali and representing power of women... I love this band because they have strong message in their music and trying to get it out there where its needed...

I love the passion you can see in the lead dancer's eyes. If I were a rapist or someone who victimizes the innocent, I would probably be more scared of her than I would be of the band, and they are scary enough in this one. I have so much respect for this band taking a stand against the rape culture in India.

Righteous fury is a good way to put it. Kali represents death and destruction, in the sense everything that is born in this Universe ("born" or created - however you see it) gets destroyed in the end, and goddess Kali is the force of the nature that represents their demise. But more than that, whenever the society regresses and experiences the downfall of morality, it's Kali who takes the matter into her own hands. She is seen as sort of an antithesis of the feminine force of creation.

the guys in bloodywood have said they didn't mean for it to be Kali, but recognize how fitting having Kali would be and why people think that's Kali. Probably one of those cases of someone adding in symbolism when they didn't mean to. The best other example I can think of is how Tolkein said he despised allegory but later in life admitted that allegory ended up in Lord of the Rings naturally without him intending to.

Exactly! Like Maya Angelou said, “when a person shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” Bring the beat down!

The Blue Lady in the song is reference to Hindu Goddess Kali who protects the innocents and Slays demons!

Glad to see you come back!! This album is going to really put them on the map this year. 🤘😁
PS - you're totally right. He was calling out all men to act and stop other men from assaulting women.
Oh, and they do have a real singer. The growler has beautiful clean vocals, as well. Check out either of the songs posted below to hear how beautiful his voice can sound!

    Hey bro.
What I'm going to add is that Dana Dan does for SA what Jee Veerey does for depression and suicide. Both are topics that don't get enough exposure in metal, let alone the rest of the world. Hopefully, with these guys, that changes.
Edit: I hear you about kids. I know what you're saying, because I would do exactly what this song says if my niece or nephew had someone hurt them. And no, I don't have kids -- but I, myself, as a kid, was the victim of SA. While I don't remember what happened to me, this song stirs the anger and rage in me like no song I've heard, because I feel like nobody protected me when I was young. And I refuse to let what happened to me, happen to someone else.
And if I had to, I would gladly beat the crap out of somebody that hurt my family -- and then take the punishment from the system with a smile, and with my head held high. I'm a man of peace -- but when in peace, prepare for war.

India is trying to make a turn around. It wasn't that long ago if a women got raped in India, she was seen as the villian and would be shamed, beaten sometimes even killed and there were people who knew it was wrong but turned the other cheek. Now the people of India are changing and are taking action against rape & the people who commit rape are the ones being held responsible (the way it should be) so this song is really just them talking about how rape isn't tolerated anymore. You can warn people and tell them don't do it cause if they do theres gonna be a beatdown.

hi I’m not aware of the true facts in other nonEuropean or generally in all third world poorer nations and also more conservative and religious value countries, but we have to admit we cannot underestimate how we in the western world mistreat often shame and shun our women or children and also men who have been sexually abused. And our law courts and news and social media channels will not necessarily protect our victims of rape crimes except in rare circumstances. So really this message will fit all nations west and east in 2023

    • @phoenixj1299

@@beejumittahb8527This is not true. I am from India and stats doesn't place India in top 10 countries of SA cases. Countries like US, UK is at the peak of SA cases.

@@phoenixj1299 "Rape is the fourth most common crime against women in India. According to the 2021 annual report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 31,677 rape cases were registered across the country, or an average of 86 cases daily, a rise from 2020 with 28,046 cases"
In 2016: In India a women is reportedly raped every 15 minutes, according to governmental report.
"The reported rape statistics in India are at 2.63 per 100,000 people, ranking the country ninety-fourth in terms of the highest rape statistics in the world. However, reports suggest that far more incidents go unreported due to patriarchal attitudes and victim blaming. It is estimated that every day above 80 women are raped, and there have been over 31,000 reported cases in 2021 alone. The root causes of this epidemic include a lack of public awareness about gender-based violence, cultural beliefs that discourage victims from reporting rape, and inadequate legal protection for survivors."
You can't just take the % per 100,000 people into account, first because all countries don't classify rapes and sexual assaults the same way and depending on the country, women can't as easily go to the police or stuff like that.
When your own government says a women is raped every 15mn in your country, you can't say that raping isn't a big problem...
Also, it's not because you can always found worst countries that it means you haven't to do something about it. ;)

@@ZirakFFM According to NCRB for every 100,000 population, 28 women were raped in US. While it's 2 women in India. US have atleast 10 times more rape rates than in India. Your points are debunked. India is not even in top 10 countries when it comes to rape rates despite having huge population. The western countries have exponentially higher rape rates than India. Rape is almost normalised in western countries which is a result of objectification of women. Thanks to patriarchal aspect of Abrahamic religions. While in India, women as seen as mother's and sisters. It's neither patriarchal nor matriarchal society.

@@phoenixj1299 did you ever read what those report are saying and what a I have written?
They said that the percentage for India is false because a lot of women don't go tell about their rape because it is a patriarcal country...
The reports are telling the opposite of what you are saying lol. Like I said, you can't just look at the percentage for 100 000 people on Google, you need to read the reports and what is it written aside those numbers bro...
And like I said, it's not because it is worse in the US, that it means there is no problem in India or that we shouldn't do anything about it.
But yeah, keep your eyes closed and let women from India suffers because "everything is fine"... 🙄
Your own government reports says there is a problem bro... Is he lying too?

To give context to the changing with words Google Brock Turner. Yeah the urge towards violence is STRONG there, but it was people getting together, working together that made sure the judge who gave that beast a slap on the wrist is no longer on the bench.

@phoenixj1299 it's the second most common kimd.of.crime in India. And just because it happens other places doesn't mean it doesn't happen there. Or does Mr. Kerr not know what he's talking about?

    • @phoenixj1299
      @phoenixj1299 Год назад

@@chuckellsworth758 Of course it happens from the region where they are from. What I am saying is it's not happening in the same quantity or rather same rate of countries like US, UK, France etc. Mr. Kerr is definitely knows what he is talking about. But he is talking from the perception of "even one case in the whole country is bad." Which is definitely true. So what he is singing applies for every country in the world universally. Infact what he is singing applies to other countries more than his own country.
