A lot of women live under the delusion that they look young for their age. She doesn't look 19 or 25.. In the face, she looks at least about 30. Women get a lot of compliments no matter what. The fact that she's ultra fit probably plays into the number of compliments she gets. Rich has the advantage of living in Canada as far as sunblock and wrinkles go.
Her face is unattractive, age aside. She’s a 4 out of 10 in my view. She has a masculine face that looks like a transsexual. Her eyebrow arch is crazy. Her hair is unkempt and unappealing. And her eyes themselves look crazy. Unattractive ppl will always struggle to give advice about looks.
Also, the term “self-care” is gay.
Also, men are the leaders. Men should not look to women for advice.
Also, she’s failed at dating and finding a man she wants to take her seriously, and yet she’s here critiquing men. Women start getting male interest at 11-15 years, so at her older age, she’s not someone who has succeeded in her own life.
She is cute but she looks more like high 30s may actually think she looks under 31
She does not look below 25 but to her credit she still looks pretty, fit, and dateable. Sadly women can't look 19 forever, and we probably shouldn't expect them to. But a woman SHOULD be able to maintain attractiveness if she puts in the effort at least until 50. After that it almost seems hopeless.😥
To be fair, this is over zoom and it's not great resolution, but she most certainly looks her age, if not older.
I've noticed that mediterranean and middle eastern folks seem to age the worst, but asian, malaysian, and black folks age the best.
I'm currently involved with a 30 yr old that could totally pass for 25, but she is tiny, and half filipino, so that benefits her.

Guys: Women in their 30s who are any type of “teacher or coach” but always single are 🚩 it’s like dating a supervisor or mommy.
Female here. I would like to offer my opinion. For me, the most attractive men out there of any age are the rugged ones. As far as "self care" goes, taking care of your teeth (oral hygiene) is crucial if you don't want to lose your teeth when you get older. Movies like "Braveheart" show men in their natural, masculine, rugged, glory. They were dirty. They were disheveled. They were weather beaten. They were warriors. They were not "clean cut". They did not "exfoliate". They did not "moisturize" and by god, they were not doing pilates! Women who require this B.S. in order to be attracted to a guy, really should take about two years of their lives and go live out in the country or up in the mountains. Their taste in men WILL change. When they get used to seeing the natural, rugged looks that a "no frills" country guy has, they will understand finally what is really attractive. For men, the less they primp themselves, the better they look. Also the better character they have as a man, because they are using their time doing important, valuable things out there in the world, instead of standing in front of a mirror, primping themselves in hopes of attracting a shallow, superficial snob, like this woman. It seems like this woman is attracted to the metrosexuals. She needs to stay in a big city and hang out at all the Starbucks. She needs to stay away from kayaking, rifle toting, tobacco chewing, hunting, swearing, beer chugging, bar-room brawling, flannel shirt wearing, shit-kicking men who know how to perform an engine overhaul and yes, their hands get dirty and greasy.

Have some men never heard of getting their teeth cleaned every 6 months? Where are they sticking those dirty and unclipped finger nails? Are they unable to bend over and clip their toenails? I generally don't shave 3 times a month to give my skin a break. I'm not into facial hair. I'm not a sun worshipper like I was in my teens and twenties. Like Rich, I cover up.

A lot of guys will probably call her delusional ect... but she has some good points. There are a lot of guys out there that just don't have a good skin care/hygiene/style routine. Yes, it costs money but women notice these things, and I notice these things in women as well. Obviously diet and exercise are high on the list, but skin care and dental care should also be high on the list. I live in the desert southwest and regularly use sun screen when outside in the summer 110 degree heat. I use lotion on my hands and feet. A good after shave lotion will keep skin healthy looking. A good haircut, a well trimmed beard/mustache clean and trimmed fingernails. And no I'm not gay.

I stop taking most advice from women, and my life is now infinitely better. I now get my advice from men (men that are successful at the thing that I am seeking advice for). So unless I am doing something wrong in the bedroom, nothing else that comes out of her mouth is useful to me. I care about myself and I take care of myself but I also don't put on sunscreen because when you start the tan, that is your natural sunscreen. You don't need a bunch of chemicals to keep away all of the benefits you get from sun exposure. Obviously you want to limit it, you couldn't spend eighteen hours a day under direct sunlight, but putting chemicals in your skin does not make you a better man by a woman's feelings (not thoughts)

I do what you do rich. Build a base from early and late sun, shorter stints, and then go to go when tanned (using common sense of course)

I want to mention about female hygiene about a 1/3 of the women I've been with didn't clean themselves very well and these are girls that wax and shave all the good bits makeup finger nail's etc.., our mothers used to say "I'm going to freshen up" if you have any idea that your going to have sex take a shower or a bath, I've never been on a date where I wasn't done to the 9's

I rarely where sunscreen. I don’t like the oily feel on my skin. I prefer to wear long sleeves and stay out of the sun.
I will get sunburn at times.
My family is Irish so basically screwed for tanning, and I hang out with a bunch of latinos, so when someone tries to ask why I don’t tan I just tell them “I’m the white boy, keyword white, so why try to be another colour?”. The bonus of that is my skin looks better than all the other guys my age and I look 10 years younger

The conversation isn’t even about her age guys. . Take her advice and clean yourself up. You don’t need to look like a magazine picture just be consistent with the basics.
The traditional male lack of self concern, (smoking, drinking, red meat), was based upon a tradition of stoicism and a devil may care attitude toward death. A real man did not fear death. He knew that when his number was up that was it and he shouldn’t bitch or cry about it. Thus a real man would smoke, drink whiskey like James Bond and fight like there was no tomorrow. Further, it was a violation of a man’s autonomy to rub his “self destructive behaviour” in his face; especially if he was a veteran. One did not ask why a WWII fighter pilot (for instance) drank. It was presumed that a sensible person knew why nd would keep his mouth shut.
She’s right. Basic hygiene and personal care for men should consist of:
- Skin care, especially when you have acne or other skin conditions
- Brush your teeth twice a day, floss daily, and visit dentist and dental hygienist every 6 months
- Trim your eyebrows/nose hairs/beard
- Moisturize cracked lips
- Cut your nails every 4 weeks
- Get a suitable hair cut
- Wash hair and body when needed
- Exercise at least once a week
- Have a decent diet

@@universe6319 you can cut them more often too if necessary. It depends on the season and if it’s fingernails or toe nails. Toe nails in winter can be cut even every 8 weeks. Finger nails in summer every week. Just use some common sense and your own judgment jeez.

But sunscreen, make up and all the chemicals going around in the name of beauty products are just a little too much for a man. I personally just use simple lotion. Fellas, if you using certain products on your body, apart from maybe perfume, is a deal breaker, don't waste your time on her. At no point should you listen to her when she tries to imply that you should spend near as much time on beautifying yourself as she does. Period

I’m a country boy and do the things one would associate with that and when it comes to it will work circles around most people. Yeah I don’t get the negative reaction towards self care. Being well groomed and especially taking care of skin is a good thing. Skin is the largest organ you have, keeping it healthy is just as important as anything else.

I can run heavy equipment, I have a CDL, I’ve built houses and do all my home renovation work… I grew up throwing bales. Served many years in the military and not any less job. I love to hike. I’ll probably Dug more ditches than most people. I grew up in the very country way of “you’re not sick you’re just trying to get out of work” and “I’ll give you a reason to cry”. I lift weights. Etc. etc. I just don’t enjoy having big pores, long, ass, eyebrows, nose hair sticking out, or having my toenails curl into my freaking feet. You can be manly and take care of yourself. And you can be a pansy you’re not take care of yourself.
