I collect Barbie, Monster High, Ever After High, Rainbow High, LOL OMG, Na Na Na Surprise, Disney Princess Dolls and so many more! I love fashion dolls and I believe that dolls are the best toys for people to improve empathy and to explore their creativity!
Series 3 made me realize I don’t really like the og face mold. I think that’s what turns me off about Gabriella and Lyric from the rockstar line, their eyes just look MASSIVE compared to the new molds. Like a lot of people have already said, Gabriella seems like she was supposed to be released with series 1 or 2 and I really think it’s because of the face mold. If she had Daphne’s face, I think I would like her more.
I do agree with what you've said about her face. Something about her eyeshadow and eyecolor makes her appear dumbstruck or derpy. I think they should've just done a blue smokey eye to balance out her icey colored eyes, though I disagree on you abouy the pale lips 'cause I think they look perfect on her since she's icey themed. Her second outfit also is just another repetition of a pleather jacket and dress that we've seen before (Bella & Violet) and idk how to feel about that
Her eyes are too big and monochromatic for that much blue all around her eyes. I think lavender irises would have worked better and eyeshadow only on her upper eyelids.
I get where you’re coming from in regards to the monochromatic style. I felt the same way when I first looked at her, but the more I studied her and changed her clothes, I LOVE her so much! There is a modern Cinderella feel, especially in the second outfit and the “crystal” heeled sandals. I actually really like her face, especially the frosty pink lip! I think it balances out her eye makeup. I totally respect others’ opinions on her but she has quickly become one of my favorites in S3! I think she’s underrated, but that’s just me.
Admire this doll. Enjoy her. You cannot change her. She is gorgeous.
Her face, lips, and hair are giveing her a more softer tone of appearance, then in contrast of what her outfit implies. Because she likes snake print, leather/pho-leather, and the type of jacket. Her style says she has a little bit of edge in her. She is still very feminine, but her hair could of given her more of the "edge" she needs. That compliments the fashion she wears. If it was straight, or they had it cut shorter, maybe a hairstyle of the 70's or did something with it to bring a bit more intrest to her. By eather structure or style.
This doll is my least favourite of Series 3. I think you nailed it when you said she lacked accents, this is also how I feel. And I also don't care about the snakeskin print, which happens to be the only thing close to an accent that this doll has. I've decided against buying her. I already have Georgia and Daphne (yay!), I'll definitely buy Roselyn and then maybe Emi if there is a discount, but Gabriella is a miss for me. So don't feel bad, you're not the only one who is not into this doll.
I agree, in my case i dont really like the skintone with that blue, and the only think i like is the snakeprint, the second outfit, because it actually says something interesting to me. If i ever get her it should be in sale and i would leave her in her second outfit or mix both. Anyway, other dolls from the serie 3 would go first, I have Emi and I would love Daphne, then Georgia, then the yellow one (i forgot the name D:) and then the strawberry one (forgot too) and THEN Gabriella, but there are as many tastes as colors, so I will be glad if someone loved Gabriella, they all deserve some love, it is not their fault

I really love her. It makes me sad to see so many people say they don’t like her. I don’t have her yet but if you (the general you) feel she’s too monotone I wonder if you’d feel differently if you mixed in some of Skyler’s pieces or something from the fashion studio or closet?
I love the monochromatic tones of this doll; I think she is absolutely beautiful. Love the soft, old movie star looks.
I think if her eyes were a darker, sapphire blue it would've popped
She's been my least favorite since promos (and her webisode personality has NOT changed that fact, it made me hate her more actually) and I do agree that she's too monotonal. Everyone has a secondary color to go with their looks and I think sticking to such a pale blue and using white to go with it did not help because she does just sort've run together that way. I also feel her irises and eye color are too close together so it definitely feels like a let down after the others. Maybe more of the black or even more printed clothing in an icy hue could've been the solution.
i love her personality, shes so extra then feels bad about it later xD shes adorable. its weird how different people view personalities differently!

Gabriella in the show is a mean girl and her doll doesn’t translate that at all but she is still cute! I think Daphne’s facial mold would’ve fit her better 🤔 also wish her eyes were a different color it would’ve broken all the blue on her I think green or brown eyes would’ve been cute
I completely agree, Gabrielle is probably one of my least favorite dolls for rainbow high. Sure, she is pretty, but there is just a lot of light blue going on in her outfit, hair, and face, and the textures don't really help separate all the blue going on in her outfit. I apologize to all you Gabrielle lovers🙏

I think the eye makeup would have worked better with more of an icy/silvery tone instead of the muted teal color they went with
It's odd that I was listening to the Grease soundtrack earlier today and I watch this video out of the blue and you mention the Grease soundtrack! Gabriella is beautiful. I love her hair, it's so soft and silky. Both of her outfits are awesome too. I enjoyed this video!
I don't think you're being too harsh or picky at all, it's just a matter of personal taste and what you vibe with. Like you said, they're all gorgeous. She and Daphne are my faves from series 3 ❤️

I have completed my RH Series 3 Collection as well. I am very happy with the Series 3.
i completely agree!! designs r all lovely and i really enjoy the versace references but i feel like it would translate a lot better if there was more contrast. i think in general icey blue looks can become a little flat. i also think it would br better if rh went forward with less focus on completely monochromatic looks where the hair is completely the colour the doll represents. for example if a character had streaks, like the rock band girls do. i think it would break it up a bit and make some colours less jarring to look at
Understanding that this is all a matter of personal opinions and tastes but I love her icy blue, frosted nude lip look combined with her fashion color pallet. I recently did a redress of all my (almost 40 now) rainbow high dolls and Gabriella is one of two series 3 and one of the few girls in general to stay in her original look top to bottom (- a readjustment of her hair clips) and her second look (also as is top to bottom) went on my Kia Heart.
I can't decide between her, Georgia, and Emi! (As for the personality, in one of the webisodes Gabriella is mean/rude to Amaya for being a reserve course student, until it turns out that Jett was reserve course too)
i love gabriella so much! I dyed her hair half royal blue to give her a ombrè!
She looks like a background character, which she is, while also being an antagonistic figure in the show. She just doesn’t stand out, and I don’t think she was necessarily supposed to.

I totally agree... especially in package she just doesn't wow me. I can't handle turtlenecks... it bothers me... intensly. You made the most out of her at the end I really like the contrasts when she is earing the snakeskin boots and jacket. I think if they had added a lighter streak in her hair and or a braid in there she would have stood out more.
She looks/feels like she was supposed to be released with the series 1 girls but only happened to be released now almost like an after thought. Series 3 really stepped it up but it feels like this girl didn’t reach that level.
Yeah...she's fashionable, but it seems like her design is not "out of the box".

Georgia is my absolute favourite, and I totally agree with everything you said. Pastel colors are my favourite, and all I wear is pastel, but I just don't feel the colors of this doll in comparison to the others in the series.

her eyes should’ve been a different color. i still think she’s really pretty you just need the correct clothing options. i gave her my winter break skyler coat, the belt from her first outfit, the dress from her second outfit. i left the choker and gave her her second shoes. It helps me ignore how bland she can be and I think that if I wanted her to look better I’d probably just swap her eyes at that point. I’m glad Rainbow High sticks to their color themes though, it makes my ocd happy.
This doll reminds me of a Versace ad from the 90s
100% right about the face. Something is off about the color balance/visual weight of her eye makeup and eye color. I wonder if she was dressed in black/dark colors if that would balance her and make her eyes and hair pop. (I haven't bought her yet but I'll probably play around a bit once I do.)

Gabriella is a lovely doll, but her serie sisters are all stunning IMHO, that's why she doesn't pop-up for me either. I am not collecting all the RH, I am just trying to build my RH family of pastel color girls and for the light blue I definitely think I'll go for the pj party one 💕 Thank you Melissa for your review and thank you for helping me getting better together with your other new channel ❤❤❤❤ (still have to create my YT account for dolly things, but started other little steps 🙂)
I think she would have been better with a darker skin tone. Then it would contrast the super light blue and give her a bit more dimension

As for me, I like Gabriella. Maybe because right after black, blue is my next favorite color :) I put my Gabrielle in the first set of clothes but with shoes from the second set. My Gabrielle has a neatly sewn sweater. I guess you just got it badly sewn. Greetings from Poland ;)

Gabriella and Lyric are my least favorite out of all the new releases. I’m not sure if it’s the old face molds or what but they’re a bit lackluster…I will still get Lyric for her clothes though lol
I always get purples or rusts on my autumn nails for some reason.
Imo in series 3, Gabriella, Daria, & Emy has the nicest clothes but Daphne & Georgia my favorite dolls. I have to say I looooove her lips, but I'm a sucker for glitter/holo make-up (and neutral lips). I'm so happy the lips are not red, cause they've been using red lips a lot and imo it is a hard colour to wear so doesn't always suit the dolls. I do agree about the eye-color though, she would have been even nicer if the eyes had been different, maybe a dark grey? And a bit more white in the hair maybe? That really would have made her pop. Also I think it were a good choice you going with the boots, I would have as well :)

I love her outfit, it is very 90s supermodel. What made me decide not getting her is the eyes. Too big, too much blue. I like the frosty pale lips though.

I love Gabriella, one in box and one out of box. I display her in her second outfit. I added white knee high socks and added another silver clip on the other side of her hair. She's definately in my top 3 in series 3 . I love my no contrast wearing queen

I feel like rainbow more recently has been mismatching the shoes and outfits to encourage “your own” style but those boots definitely with the jack
And the white sandals with knee high socks would have made the jumper lewk more of what i think the concept was
Coz shes like snow i invision they wanted her to look like a blanket of snow kinda empty but beautiful
I feel the eyes hve too much definition which why the looks breaks down if the colours where softer her eyes would look more ghostly and enchanting but maybe that wouldve creeped kids out

Like frI only found RH dolls in 2 shops 1 had only the red and blue ones (I can't remember the names) from series 1 and the other one only had hot pink until a few days ago when they got series 3 but only icely and ema were there when my aunt got there.
This happened to me with “haunted spectra” I couldn’t wait to get her and when I did.... she had a butter face! And I just couldn’t get past it lmao

I love Gabriella. To me, her eyes make her look super tired, which is relatable.
Also, I really don't think the uneven hem thing on the sweater is intentional. My Gabriella doesn't have it.

Daphne has a brighter lip so ot brings attention to her face and Gabriella doesn't have that so her face gets lost in the blue.
I will be forever that they gave Gabriella such a dumb name. ICELY! It should be Gabriella Frost. That’s a real name, and it still fits her theme of ice blue! She’s still my favorite of series 3, though.
I agree, I don't like her at all. Will probably buy most of the others, but not her. Which is a bummer because most of the series 3 are the best Rainbow High dolls by far! Especially Cheryl, Georgia and Emi! Gabriella is just way too Season 1 looking for me.
I think that grey eyes would have fitted her more.
Her makeup is beautiful, but the eyes aren't the right shade for her. They are both too much white and too much dark blu (and this blue doesn't even match her aestetic) 😎

One of these beauties is gonna visit me and stay forever shortly. I just can't decide which girl should I get as the first one... Daphne Minton, Sheryl Meyer, Marisa Golding or Brianna Dulce (the last 2 from the "Slumber Party" series).

Question. Has anyone had trouble getting her first boots off? Or is that just me? Like I cannot remove them no matter how hard I try. I also can’t open her necklace to get it on I’m kind of sad about it. Other than that, she’s all right. She’s not my favorite, but I don’t hater.

Jacket is better, and the boots do go with it. I not happy with the dress, but it is OK. I think the main problem with the doll isn't the face so much as the hair. It is a pretty blue, but I think it is too deep of a pastel blue and therefore throws everything off...therefore the face looks washed out, the outfits can't pop, and probably would have if the hair was a few shades lighter.
Gabriella is the only doll from Series 3 that I did not buy. I wasn't wowed by her fashions, but it was her face for me. I feel like the mixture between her eye color, face paint, and eye shape makes her look really bug eyed with bags under her eyes.
She’s actually my least favourite. I think it’s because she has a face screening from series 1 dolls. Or maybe it’s just me, love the 2nd outfit thou.
