Grisly and tragic story of what folly and irresponsibility can lead to. Kudos to Gunsmoke for not shying away from storytelling that doesn’t always have a happy ending.
I remember listening to this show late on Saturday night on AFRTS radio, while stationed in Germany , 1965. I was stationed there with the 2Armored Cavalry doing border Patrol. It was cold ,dark and windy. You could smell the cooking fires wafting across the Iron Curtin. The Warsaw Pact was less than 500 meters across the mined and wired border from us.
Originally broadcast on June 25, 1955. 29:05- "Now stay tuned for 'CITY HOSPITAL', which follows over most of these stations. This is the *CBS RADIO NETWORK."*

Wonderful retelling of a part of your life that may seem like yesterday. 🇺🇲

Great videos.
What videos? I only hear audio.
@@davideverett9995 You figured out a way to listen without playing the episode in video format? How do you do that?
If you type in radio show after Gunsmoke it will llist them. If that doesn't work, try Gunsmoke radio show dark mode.@@dontaylor7315
Well Marshall Glowie, I hope you're happy.
Funny that they called them "sound patterns."
Why are people so darn in a hurry to get married ? Quicker to divorce?

Moving foward to present day " its cheaper to keep the broad"
Cheapest not to own one!
A man inserted an ‘ad’ in the classifieds: “Wife wanted”. Next day he received a hundred letters. They all said the same thing: “You can have mine.”
