  • European leaders gathered in for a summit in Budapest and reacted to Donald Trump’s US Presidential election victory.
    Mr Trump’s win stoked fears in Ukraine over the United States’ long-term commitment to support Ukraine against the Russian invasion.
    Taoiseach Simon Harris acknowledged that the risk of a transatlantic trade shock had increased, but described Mr Trump as “transactional” and that he would understand US-EU trade is a two-way relationship.
