Man that B-1 is sweet and looks like a super smooth bird. Some of the best tight/formation r/c footage I’ve seen. Surprised how little wake/turbulence it appeared you encountered right on it. Just started getting stuff together to begin in the hobby. Picked up a Habu and want to add FPV to it. Trying to convince some buddies they need to do the same so we can fly like this.
The B-1 Is a blast to fly formation with! Its big, its slow, its beautiful, all good traits for formation flying. Also at lot easier when you have pilot friends to help get that good shot! Wake turbulence is definitely real, good eye! This is why I always fly an angle to the lead jet, rather than right behind. I've edit out most the of turbulence, but you can see a little when the planes change lanes at 1:59. This causes a little lag, which prompts me to catch up. Its a long, yet rewarding road, good luck! Getting started and setting the example like yourself is the best way to motivate others!
