Omg I use to watch this movie all the time when I was younger and I still love it!
This scene with young spirit had me crying and smiling as a kid 😢😊 This movie was my childhood, and seeing it again after 20 years, as an adult, it still warms my heart.

This made me feel better after crying because memories of my dog brought me down. Seeing spirit look at esperanza with a confused look then smiling at her after figuring she was his momma was so heartwarming to me
I lost my dog BEAR BEAR,almost 5 years ago,💔😥she and i were together her whole entire life❤❤for 13 1/2 years,until she got cancer😥💔BEAR BEAR and were insepreable,so I know the bond you are talking about,I was BEAR BEARS mamma,and she was my daughter,i havent seen this movie yet,but i really want to💗💗💗💗😇

I took my son to the cinema when he was 7 years old, in 2002 to see spirit. It was in English, as the translated version was not shown in our cinema. He fully understood what was happening in the movie, despite the fact that he only knew Danish at the time. I've seen this movie 15-20 times since and cry every time even though I know the ending. ❤ Beats Lion King by Miles!! Spirit is totally underrated ❤❤

I never cared much for this movie but this scene where she gives birth is so engrained into my memory 😭. They used to have it on at daycare and I always thought this scene was so weird.

In my head canon and seeing this film as a 7 year old until around 5th or 6th Grade I always thought that babies were born by being pooped out as I didn’t quite understand anatomy yet LOL
I think I was a bit grossed out by this scene too for that reason even though you don’t actually see anything explicit at all.

When I was a kid I wasn't a huge fan of Spirit because I'm not much of a horse person because I love cars and this film when it was released it was really one of the most underrated films but two decades later Dreamworks gaves this film another chance by making a spinoff and Netflix TV shows and I liked it.

After watching this movie, it became one of my favorite DreamWorks movies and shows besides The Prince of Egypt,Netflix's Voltron and DinoTrux lol.
Y'know dispite everything, I hate to say it but I think I'm starting to find DreamWorks' 2D movies alot enjoyable than their 3D ones even if their 2D movies like this were short lived lol.
It's one of my favorites, too, and I actually think it's better than Shrek. I'm not saying that Shrek is a bad movie, but it got more attention than it really deserved.

Strider was his father he was a black horse but he had died I read the book

Spirit's Mom reminds me of Phoenix, a Pryor Mountain Mustang mare who, before she died, was the oldest horse on the Mountain. She was the mother of Cloud. Three movies & a Breyer Portrait series were made of Cloud & his look alike daughter, Encore. She, in turn, had Tor. He is a throwback to his Great Grandfather, Raven.

This movie really is a dreamworks classic but largely underrated. The amount of impact this movie had on me growing up was indescribable.
Two decades later Dreamworks gave this film another chance by making a spin-off and a TV Show, this time the horse's name is Spirit Jr. The son of Spirit from the prequel.

OMG, I vaguely remember my dad taking me and my sister to see this movie back when it was in theatres 😮😭, back when I was only 4 or 5 years old in pre-school and she was only 8 and STILL in 1st grade in 2002 😳, now i'm 26 and she just turned 30 last month 🤯😬😱, and we're both now working, also I remember just us being in the theater, and these 2 other people, miss being a kid 😢!!! time flies!!!!
