I’m relatively new to tarot, about three years, so I appreciate your journey of relearning it at an older age and for the resources you mention. Very helpful and much appreciated! 🙏
@@the_cemetery_witch I agree, and I have loved learning from others and their perspectives on the cards. One of my favorite things about a pagan path is the openness to lifelong learning and exploration.
Thank you for sharing the information & tips with us! I have been curious about tarot as I'd love to work with them but didn't know where to start. I have started researching your suggestions for the cards & the books, I'm anxious to get started! Another great video..Blessings to you each and every day 😊✨️
Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling cards (although not actually a tarot deck), I still count as my first tarot. I have a deck you modeled for, Rider Waite and dozens of other decks. I started collecting again when I discovered BaBa Studio when I was in my 30's. I've read books on tarot and have studied on my own. When I get alone with tarot, it speaks to me. I don't use it for telling the future, but as a helpful guide to connect with my innermost being. Now is a great time for people to learn tarot. When I started, there were few decks then the market exploded! Good information here. Thanks for posting.
Wow, I didn't realise you had such a thing for tarot! I love that it speaks to you, it is clearly "your" thing. These days I tend to sell them rather than collect them, I ended up with loads at one point but I felt so weighed down by them all, and so only have a few left over, including the ones I showed, the Thoth and a couple of others. I agree, now is a brilliant time to learn tarot - I bet a lot of people took to it during the lockdowns. Wishing you a beautiful weekend ahead. :) xx
My first deck was an oversized RWS deck. I called it my blinds man deck. Lol It was the only one the book store had. I could never memorize the meanings and always had to use the little booklet that came with the deck. But my interest would come and go with the cards. And how awesome you got to model for a card. That is so cool. You should think of teaching a class on tarot.
@@the_cemetery_witch I try to do a weekly pull 3. I still have to use the little book. I try to do a full spread every once and a while. I read better for other people than I do for myself.
@@lindamillard19 I definitely think it’s easier to read for other people, it’s like there’s no static or fuzz getting in the way. You have to be really objective to read for yourself; I have mastered it but it’s actually taking the advice that’s tricky! 😅
I'm watching this on March 30..the Tarot card deck I started with is the Rider Waite Smith Tarot deck...I like the Tarot card decks you have shown...I need to rewatch this video again..the 3rd deck you showed is rather interesting...but, I branched out and found a deck that I somehow gravitated to...The Crow Tarot card deck....but, that's just me...excellent video...(the 4th deck looks rather interesting, too...).....Again, awesome video...even before the end..of what you mentioned about the gardening work going on...and the 5th deck looks good, too...thank you for being an awesome friend and mentor....💜....(I gotta check out the books, too)....I did this comment on my smartphone while watching the video....
Hi Daniel, sorry for some reason RUclips stuck this one in the "held for review" section, I check every so often and there won't be anything in there, so I forget about it, and then suddenly there's a million comments in there - so weird! I like the sound of the Crow deck - it sounds very you! I'd be interested to have a look so I'm going to search after leaving this comment. I think tarot decks are addictive so these days I tend to sell them than buy them! I hope it is starting to warm up down your end of the country; have a lovely weekend ahead! :)
Where have you been my whole life?! ❤
I don't know, under some books somewhere?! :)

You are so welcome! I hope the resources I’ve mentioned are helpful, I think tarot is a never-ending learning process. ♥️

You’re so welcome, I think investing in a RWS deck is key. That would be my one and only must for a beginner. ♥️

I think really large cards are great for learning tarot! Do you still read or have you stopped?
