- The Royals returned from the All-Star break and sent Michael Wacha to the mound to open the series vs. the White Sox. Wacha was terrific, tossing 7.0 innings of shutout ball and striking out 5. The Royals took the lead in the bottom of the 1st inning when Bobby Witt Jr. blasted a home run in his very first at-bat after returning from the Home Run Derby and All-Star Game. Bobby would go on to drive in another run in the 3rd inning before the Royals broke the game open in the 5th inning by plating 5 with RBIs from Vinnie Pasquantino, Hunter Renfroe, Michael Massey, and Freddy Fermin. With a comfortable lead, the Royals sailed the rest of the way to a 7-1 win.

Why was Marsh pitching relief?
So he isn't rusty when he pitches on Tuesday that's my guess
He probably needed to get some work in because he hadn’t pitched since before the All-Star break
Montgomery....lol what? Don't be a hater.
