Namaste!
As my father was dying of cancer, this was one of his favorite meals and the last real meal his body could handle. I have such painfully beautiful memories of spooning out each mouth full, one for him one for me.....and it was such a blessing that in such pain he could enjoy good food and share it with me as a memory I will treasure as long as I live.
Thank you for reminding me of it and teaching me how to make it myself....I will make it to honor his memory and your skill.
in Canada

These recipes always turn out great! I was always intimidated to attempt Indian cuisine. Thank you! Keep on keeping on Please!!!
I googled mattar paneer as I had a pretty good idea how to make it, but wasn't sure. I used onions, garlic & ginger instead of hing, and garam masala instead of separate spices, with cumin, haldi, laal mirch, and it turned out beautifully. And OMFG, the secret is the pinch of sugar! Thank you Manjula 😁
Sounds great!

This is an excellent recipe.
If you like creamy gravy few minutes before turning off the heat add some cream.

Fresh cream you can add just after you have add mattar and paneer.
मुंह मे पानी आने लगा

Namaste Which one is the best..baby green peas that come from the can or the frozen kind ?
Delish tq
why we dont need onion?
No, 1 pint is 2 cups, and 1 litre is about 4 cups.
So 4 pints is 8 cups which is about 2 litres.
Auntie, when I was at a restaurant, I got mattar paneer, but the gravy was yellow. What is the difference?
They added cream to it
Oh. Thank you very much.
its the song from DDLJ

Would this work with a besan slurry instead of cornstarch?
Watching in 2019!
Instead of cornstarch i added cashew paste. The curry came out wondeful
sounds good
You dont like to use onions to make this gravy? Why not?
what is the cream and where do i get it?

Paneer this is available at Indian grocery stores
It's also very easy to make it:
www.thekitchn.com/diy-recipe-homemade-paneer-che-57008
Sugar helps counter the acidity of tomatos otherwise the dish could be sour
Is paneer tofu or cheese
You can use tofu instead of paneer :))
yes
Sorry but what's paneer. ? Is it like cottage cheese
Miranda Hall yes! you can can find it in asian grocery stores or in the indian food section at your local grocery store...you could probably find the bar (not the crumbly kind) in the cheese section aswell
she meant green pepper...yes its the green chilli
Hell im a vegan, is there any difference in cooking with tofu instead of paneer?
very nice
