Haha! I have had Pork Rolls quite often for nearly 25 years in Sydney, and mostly stuck with the same shop, but never thought about so many different options, thanks to the great variety of creative, flexible, traditional and salivating recipes with some sort of technique as well. Salute! I have to label myself as ‘ A frog lives under the well’.

The ingredients of ‘Pork Rolls’ I fall in love with are, Baquette of course, Mayonnaise, Shredded Iceberg lettuce, Picked shredded carrot, cucumber, onion, coriander, tomato slices ( + 50 cents ), Pork Pâte spread, a lengthwise of Vietnamese Sausage and a thin slice of Pork belly, Chilli (optional), Satay or Fish sauce and drops of Soy Sauce, Voila! A$7. used to be A$5. until 2 years ago. I usually had two rolls as breakfast as Baquettes would be less crispy
in the afternoon. I understand they are much cheaper in prices in Vietnam, and with a lot richer of filling too.

I usually eat the Banh Mi whole, so, I like the vendors who cut them up. Looks like that would let any sauce or spread soak the bread better. Be more flavorful. And I can eat with a fork, haha.
Sorta like Ketchup, Mustard, and Mayo, pa^te/ should be an option on burgers or hot dogs. I would order pa^te/ every time.

Haha it's surprisingly good. Drizzle syrup and crushed peanuts on top mixed with the coldness of the ice cream eaten in the heat of Vietnam. You'll love it!
