I’m 67 years old and was just diagnosed with scoliosis. I have a triple curvature and I don’t know all the details because this just happened in the last two days but looking at pictures online I’m assuming mine is either mild or moderate. I was not expecting anything like this so I didn’t know the right questions to ask, and I’ll go back in a few days to really get into my treatment. I’m going to a chiropractic and wellness center and my doctor has scoliosis herself. The X-rays stunned me! The curvature in my neck and lower back look scary, but according to the line in the middle, my S shaped spine looks like mild or maybe moderate. What caused me to seek help was rapidly increasing back pain over a period of months that quickly became severe in a matter of weeks. The pain encompasses my lower abdomen right side and causes my left leg to burn and tingle. I have extreme sleep issues, my pants are getting longer, and my body feels like it’s twisting sideways. I feel exhausted all the time, and I never say “I feel good today.” I haven’t felt really good in years. I used to be a powerhouse. Now I feel old and worn out. The difference I see in myself in the last five years is depressing. Now I know why. My doctor was amazed that I hadn’t experienced far worse symptoms and was very surprised that I have no issues at this time with my neck and arms. I will be having three months of therapy and wearing a soft back brace. And I have to be faithful with my exercises at home and training myself to sit, stand, and lie down properly. Does this all sound correct to you?

I'm 14 and based on my doctor, I have a 30 degrees scoliosis when he read the film of my x-rays. When I bend, he says that it decreases to 19 degrees. He suggests that I'll take a therapy and also swimming for 3 months and we'll see if there are some changes. I'm searching on yt and also in other apps to learn more about my condition and how can I prevent it from getting worse. We just noticed my condition recently because my right side of the back is much higher than the left side.

I am 76 year old female. Diagnosed with 35° curve. Just what is the process you refer to to stop the progression? I just saw an orthopedist who is sending me to pain doc who may give injections, physical therapy, and gave me Rx for gabapentin. Haven't seen the pain doc or physical therapist yet. From what I've read these treatments don't actually stop progession but merely help with pain.
