❤❤❤
Love Lucas Sin and the way he teaches the how and why of cooking the dishes he presents. That said, the editing of this video does a great disservice to the top notch content. Cheap graphics and sound effects every 10 seconds adds nothing but unwanted and unfunny distractions to what the viewer is focused on. Less is more.
Agree. He’s too good for these silly diversions.
I second. It’s unnecessary distraction
he tries too hard
guy kinda sucks
dude's an imposter lol u watched a video about cooking an egg, big con job here folks
Lucas the chef carrying the torch most for Cantonese food on RUclips. Next on Goldthread, Lucas serves "deconstructed egg fried rice"
How about "Made with Lau"?

I enjoyed how well she communicated her appreciation for the dish without uttering a word.
Everything Looks amazing
I thought it was only my family did this. I didnt know this is an actually dish. We were poor growing up and all we had was eggs and lap cheong. We call it Hou Bao Daan Fan. We pour dark soy sauce over it as well. So delicious. Still my favorite when I just want something simple to eat after a long day at work. Thank you sharing your recipe. 😊
When my brother and I were kids, my grandpa made us He Bao Dan Fan (I assume mandarin ver of the name) for us. A little different from Lucas as he would pour the sauce into the pan with the egg to braise it/reduce it slightly but otherwise same idea. It’s a very nostalgic comfort dish to me now :) I didn’t know it was a common dish either!
We did the same thing! Our go-to was 2 sunny side eggs, 2 slices of luncheon meat, and sweet soy sauce - sounds super simple but it really reminds me of home and my childhood
Hou Bao Daan Fan means wallet egg rice. Pretty standard poor Cantonese food. Very good stuff.
Haha. My parents literally just made this for lunch today and I was telling my husband how I love the Chinese fried eggs w crispy edge and soy sauce. So simple yet so good.
Bro this is the universal broke/comfort meal for many Asians
I LOVE LUCAS SIN SO MUCH
Lucas Sin is my fav chef ever
I make this almost everyday. It's quick, cheap, convenient, nutritious, and most of all delicious!
I see Lucas I click! More Lucas please!
In case viewers didn't know, cha chang teng in hk typically have their own recipe for their soy sauce.
Some places are known especially for their soy sauce, that gets used to top different accompaniments to rice, like in this case, fried eggs.
Lucas has elevated the simple egg into something special!
Looks amazing 😍
I need more of this.
Perfect English translation of a Canto cooking show. HK diaspora here, this helps connect with home
Woo hoo! Another Lucas video! ❤ Feels like it's Lucas Sin week. 😎 Scoot over to Bon Appétit a couple of days ago to see another one. 😄
Dunno why you're cheering.... Pretty much like anything I expect from that region: what is said, is not the same as what is done, which is not the same as what is intended...
hes boring af

So basically....telur goreng masak kicap in Malaysia :) Love it!
yes haha. But i prefer coriander leaves as a garnish, it taste better raw. Together with the kicap and deep fried egg, wow!
@@ironfisto and maybe some cili potong too.
So simple so great
another master class from Lucas
Oh good another master class from Lucas! I love it when he breaks down something that seems so basic - but it's not.
its rice and egg. this guy cant cook
Simple and delicious dish
Looks so good
Growing up in Indonesia, I remember we had a similar dish. But we use kecap manis (sweet soy sauce) instead. Very nice.
Bro i believe you’re from java island where as we from sumatera love the taste of light soy sauce as it is salty and savoury
Growing up eating this simple dish with butter and Maggi on the rice. So yummy.
Very good recipes, I'll try soon 😋
I'll surely try this recipe, it looks tasty 😋😋😋
We just did fried egg over rice with the Maggi for quickie breakfast or at dinner. I'll have to try it with all the aromatics.
Maggi has gotten expensive here in the US. I went to buy a bottle for my brother and it was $13.
One of my favorite dish as a kid, we always topped it with oyster sauce as a shortcut.
Loved it
Looks delicious 🤤
Wow, come to think of it, I have never thought of "cooking" soy sauce alone with aromatics. Will definitely try this.
You sort of do this with steam fish
Great job 👏🏾
Simple and delicious
Made a modified version of the soy sauce but omg this was the best must comforting thing I have ever ate!!!!! 😊
In Malaysia this is a common dish for people of all ages. Mostly done or ordered by university students who lives on their own. We call it “nasi bujang”, which translated means “single rice”. Basically it means that you’re eating this when you’re single/lazy/broke/saving money 😂
Of all races too haha. As a Malaysian Chinese, it's kinda odd and funny to think of it as a Chinese style dish from now on 😂.
Amazing dish
A good video marred by needless decoration in editing.
Agreed. The “ughhh” noise with the drooling emoji is really annoying
Goldthread: Please stop with the jump cuts.
also they need to stop using that drooling emoji every 5 seconds. It's distracting.
Presentation is amazing 😍😍 recipe
Looks soo delicious😋✨
Too many jump cuts, editing makes me dizzy
