Love Irish Terriers...have had two and after our last passed last summer we are getting a new puppy that will move in to our house in a month. They are an amazing breed.
Follow up to my post a bit over a year ago.....our new pup, Fiona, is now one year old. She is a beautiful dog and very affectionate and learns very quickly. This video and the one on hand stripping helped me a lot to improve my stripping technic.....I only do hand stripping at this point...maybe clipper as she gets much older.
Looks pretty good for a clipped Irish Terrier, nice work! He's well muscled but quite overweight for an IT. Hopefully the new owners cut back on kibbles a bit...😁
What a handsome dog 😍 I have a fell terrier and his fur grows way too quick! And he pants like this constantly even in the cold weather. So I've bought my own clippers as it's £20 a clip to have him professionally groomed and this was probably the first video I've seen that really gives me a better understanding on how to clip mine. I trim the fur on his face all the time as it impairs his vision so I couldn't see why I couldn't just clip him myself. This was a massive help! 😊
If it's really a pure breed Irish terrier which I highly doubt as well you should be plucking the old hairs out of the coat. I understand the motive here, although I still would rather put in the time to condition the dog to plucking.

Loved the video. You are so calm and patient with this dog, and the end result looks great. Nice work!

Why not put the dog in the shade?? He is far too hot, getting overheated. So surprised you don't take that into account.
Looks Great for a clipper cut.
And since bornijg I have same bride
Isn't the blue comb a #2? #1 comb would be the orangeish brown one.
Why David Gibson is this not a full Irish?
We have same bride
Nice dog
This is shep shearing!

She indicated that dog was rehomed and previously clipped. You can't strip a dog that has been clipped.
Here you can see how not to groom your Irish terrier! Can't believe you are doing this to your dog!
She said that because the dog has been clip before she wouldn't be able to pull to coat
I am from Russia
now please move the dog into the shade
yeah thats not a full irish terrier
David Gibson you don’t know what you are talking about.
POOR DOG
