does anyone else get goosebumps with this one? especially the national anthem part
In Gottschalk's day, Hail Colombia was accepted as the unofficial anthem, not the Star Spangled Banner. That wasn't made the anthem until 1932. So both anthems that the US had are in this piece.
A real show-stopper, and goosebumper, Paul
love the star spangled banner section
Great interpretation!
yes fantastic !
This is a wonderful transcription and would like to share this!
old guy sleeping in the back left
I think the lady kind of looked behind her because she heard him snoring.
Fantastic piano player.I know this song played by another pianist with orchestra and it is a great song.
dont be so critical.. this is late romantic ;-)
wtf does anyone play this piece rhythmically correct? this guy has no sense of pulse
robbiethemann I realize this moment was made 6 years ago but I agree, this is actually a very frustrating performance.
Thus isn't a very easy piece, but most pianists should be able to handle it well enough to keep a decent tempo. Awful performance.
Some people think that the "Romantic" label means that the tempo has to change every half measure or so. Gag me with a coke fork.
Listen to a Scriabin piano roll, you nerd
